Merle Coggins Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 I went to Wisconsin last week to pick up my B4, colors up there were looking great, in Oklahoma everything still green Where in WI did you get your truck? I had to make a delivery run up to the middle of the state (Mosinee) on Friday. The color was really nice up there. Butch, No deer this time. Just the Challenger that tried to run out if front of me. It was a beautiful fall day for a drive. There was a lot of traffic out enjoying the fall color, including a LOT of motorcycles. I was almost wishing I had mine out too. Too bad you can only play with one toy at a time. Quote
1940plymouth Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Merle, Great looking truck and your leaves are far more beautiful than ours are here in the Catskills. Thanks for sharing Quote

MBF Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Fall colors- we're supposed to get up to a foot of the white stuff tonight! Our leaves aren't even down yet. Damn.... Quote
Desotodav Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 No fall here in Oz at present. We had a warm 78 degrees (in your talk) here in Brisbane today. We even managed to get the 61 and 52 together for a bit of a drive and took a photo or two as well... Desotodav Quote
DollyDodge Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Here are some pictures I took this weekend. The fall colors are really nice this year. I kind of missed the peak color for my pictures, but you get the idea. The picture along the paved road (Warm Springs Road) with the Lombardy Poplars in the background is next to our old family ranch. Dolly Dodge spent a lot of her youth there (as did I). I went for a road trip on Sunday. The last picture (with the wood pile in the background), is at my home in Chalfant Valley. Quote
TodFitch Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Yesterday we grabbed the camera and took a couple hour drive in the old car in search of a "fall colors" photo. Unfortunately the native live oak and redwood trees don't change color. About the only native plant here that has bright colors is a shrub (poison oak) that is cut back from the road side. And the non-native trees that change color are in built up areas with way too many modern cars around to make a good photo. Oh well. At least we had a nice drive on a sunny and hot (nearly 80F) fall day. Quote
greg g Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Last of the hold outs. Seems there is always one. I cleaned up the yard today the last of the leaf work, when done I surveyed the yard and found this gold medal winner, last to retain its leaves. When they fall, mother nature can deal with them, as the lawn tractor and snowblower have now exchanged postions in my shed. Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 There's not a lot of changing leaf color near the coast - you have to go further inland for that. But the colors are amazing here at this time of year in CA, especially after storms. The air is clear, the ocean is a lighter shade of blue, and the horizon line is sharp. These are along the Hearst Ranch coastline, south of Big Sur, north of San Simeon from a couple weeks ago. Another 500 mile trip in the PH! Quote
John-T-53 Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 On a site visit for work yesterday at Branham High School in San Jose.... My usual parking spot there...Just had to take some pics! Quote
greg g Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 You choice of color looks a bit familiar. Quote
