  1. I also need a seat for my 1948 B1B. There must be more seats out there that will work. Anybody know the list please post it. Bill
  2. Hi Merle, No I have not been able to find the serial # on the frame. Even if the #'s match that would'nt tell me if someone swapped the cab, would it? Is there a # on the cab that would help? I'm headed for VA. to my Grandson's Wedding, be back Sat. Bill
  3. I'm sorry, I was a little ignorant when it comes to trannys, I thought in '48 the 3 speed was on the column and the 4 speed was on the floor. So this is good and all I have to do is swap the top cover...I think....I hope. The emergency brake is under the dash so thats wrong also. now I'm wondering what part of this truck is a '48. It's got 1 head light on the left and 2 on the right!!! NO ! NO ! NO! I'm just kidding. Bill
  4. That sounds great, as long as you're so close, give me a call anytime at 262-886-9307 and we can work out the details. Bill in Racine
  5. Well I"ll be darned, somebody must have changed this tranny to a column shift. So I"d like to go back to a 3 speed floor shift Has anybody got the top cover for a 3 speed floor shift? I"ve got no idea what this tranny is out of but it bolted right up to the engine with no problums so must be out of a "50 or newer I think. Will a 3 speed floor shift cover fit this with no problum? Thanks for all the help. Bill
  6. Are you saying they didn't make a column shift in "48? Did they make a 4 speed in '48? Bill
  7. Hi everybody, has anybody converted a column shift to the floor? How did you do it? My truck is a b1b 1948 3 speed on the column and the linkage is bad and shifts hard. I bought a column to floor kit from Advance Auto and no way will it work. If I find a 4 speed transmision floor shift, will it fit this engine with no problums? Thanks Bill
  8. Everybody said everything I wanted to say.guess I'm not fast enough with this pick and search method of typing so I'll say it again, Great pic's Merle. Bill
  9. No sorry, next time I'll take more. Bill
  10. Well thank you, many people say "I see you painted it John Deere colors" and I tell them " I don't thing so, I worked for J I Case. These are Greenbay Packer colors. Bill
  11. Here's 2 Dodge's, a '50 & '54 {I think] and a '37 Plymouth truck at Fall festiville Days in Union Grove. First time I seen that many at one place. Didn't have mine there because of a heating problum which I'm going to address next on my list.
