Plymouthy Adams Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 appears to be from a body shop due to the left over paint colors and the camper that was left behind after the ultimate totaling of the truck by the insurance company...anybody have a different read on this crime scene... Quote
Frank Elder Posted December 5, 2010 Author Report Posted December 5, 2010 Here's the back view. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Kind of cool~ I love different things and this is diffidently different. Quote
Olddaddy Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Well, the concept is interesting in spite of the poor execution. I am currently mulling over my retirement escape vehicle and it could be along these lines. I am considering a Pilothouse Cab and front clip with a camper body grafted onto the back of the cab. All of this mounted on a 1 ton dually chassis with Cummins 12 valve power. And tastefully done of course! Quote
desoto1939 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 I think the owner did a very nice job on the conversion. It definately will get people talking and asking questions and what a great way to save some part of the car. I would like to know what chasis it is own and the engine that they have init and did they put on disk brakes? Rich Hartung Quote
Frank Elder Posted December 5, 2010 Author Report Posted December 5, 2010 It isn't the conversion, it's paint that ruins it for me. I would love to see interior shots. Quote
Oldguy48 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Kinda neat...although I think it would look better with just a black only paint job on the Dodge portion. Looks like the guy did a nice job on the conversion. Must have been quite a project. Quote
greg g Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Without the circus car paint, it's kinda neat.Wonder if the car was hit in the backend. Quote
T120 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I rather like the vehicle. That said ,I wouldn't particularly want to own it.I can see some artistic merit expressed in the painting,(although not to my taste), and I can well imagine it being a hit at some gatherings... Quote
40plyrod Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Looks alright to me, but I won't be rushing out to copy or order one. The colors kinda remind me of the clay smith cams woodpecker. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I believe that's the same one I saw a picture of a few years ago. May have even posted it on the OLD forum. I think they were claiming it to be factory built. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 If you don't like the painted up one, then you might like this nifty camping rig.........47 Dodge woodie. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 If you don't like the painted up one, then you might like this niftycamping rig.........47 Dodge woodie. Perfect Bob. I'll take one... Quote
old stovebolt Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Here's the back view. just as ugly from the rear....at least you don't see the paint as much Quote
thrashingcows Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 I like it. But the scallops are a little over done, in this case less is more. Quote
