Total weight of the truck was 9800 pounds, and i had 4000 pounds of steel on the back. A great day! Truck is a 1942 Dodge WF-32 2-1/2 ton. Original 236 flathead 6, 90 horsepower at 3600 rpm. 4 speed and single speed rearend. Got a few real funnly looks driving through tacoma!

If you don't get the PowerFlite worked out, you could take the truck!

I use to haul my small M.F. backhoe (~5000lbs) to job sites on my 48 1.5 ton. Worked great but couldn't be in a hurry.

How much did they pay for the scrap ?

Here is one when I went to the lumberyard to buy a new storm door[/quote']

Yeah, the old business coupe's big trunk comes in handy when it's firewood gathering season. Gonna need some 8 ply tires next time though. ;)

Took another load in. Not as heavy, right around 1800 pounds. Still money in the pocket. Total trip is about 45 miles, and it burns 5.6 gallons. Right around 8 miles to the gallon.
