greg g Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Well if it sells for the 51 dollar bid, looks like it will generate at least a 40 + dollar profit. This is truely Barnumesque territory. So this would only represent a 150 dollar billable hour, or about 15 minutes in barister time. Quote
Young Ed Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Where does one commonly hook these up? Up at the front at the parking light/headlight wiring? Under the dash somewhere? Quote
T120 Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 That appears as though it could have been put together last week - not that it matters. It will do the job intended. Quote
YukonJack Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Here Mike...your prayers have been answered. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1946-1947-1948-Plymouth-Hood-Ornament-Light-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem255a2395b3QQitemZ160426071475QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Anyone else noticed that when someone on here is looking for something, it shows up on Ebay with in a week? greg g Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) Ed I hooked mine to the ign side of the coil so it on when the engine is running. that way no need to worry about a switch or weather is on or off. If if you hook it to the park lights it goes off with the headlamps. If you hook it to the head lamps it goes off with high beams. Jack, if you read between the lines of the text in the ebay description, it basically scrreams repop. Edited April 23, 2010 by greg g Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Interesting that it makes no mention of voltage or polarity in the eBay link. If this new reproduction uses light emiting diodes it will care about polarity and voltage. Quote
T120 Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 (edited) ...Also kind of interesting,I googled the manufacturer of the product as listed on ebay and apparently they have supplied parts to the Charles P. Chrysler museum? (On their web page under History) Edited April 24, 2010 by Ralph D25cpe Quote

LAKOTA169 Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Charles was Walter's lesser know brother. Although according to sources he was the real brains behind the outfit.... He's the one who designed the muffler bearings for the Airflow. Quote
