IT'S ALIIIIVE!!! Finally... after year and seven months of rebuild I was able to drive it out of the garage for the first time. As most of you guys know, all except the seat is done by me, that's why the result is what it is ;) The new engine sounds like it should, no leaks and I have even brakes. I used 18 squarefeet of sheetmetal for rust repairs, that bad it was. Did all the paintings, drivetrain assemblies and such alone, there were many times when a helping hand was needed though.

Now it's time for the final details, and get it registrated then hit the road.

I'd really like to see a rear bumper there, but haven't still located one yet. If somebody knows where that front bumper is from, please give a hint. It ain't stock, I bought it from ebay and was told it's from plymouth of this era but it is not. I'd like to get a matching rear obviously

COMMENTS PLEASE, also those guys who doesn't like it or something on it, shout it out loud this is not so serious. I value different views, really.

Congratulations 'Ball!

The Coop looks stunning. It turned out a resto rod, if you do not mind me categorizing your creation. Amazing quality of craftsmanship.

Let's hope for long sunny summer!

Great job! You've got some skills for sure. I was looking at it and my daughter gave her opinion, she said it was "neat and the seat looks really comfy". Got that 50's era look up and down, you should be proud.

Thanks for the thumbs up everybody, I'm almost pleased myself too. But you know when you do so much, not everything goes like planned. There are couple of things I'd do differently now but this is enough.

greg I don't know, I didn't take her too far since it's not legally "ready" yet, it's not tagged. My best friend is a cop, and when he comes over I'll give him an illegal ride. That way I can quarantee not to get punished by his co-workers?

A question:

The skirts - are they from Big Jim's Texas?

I got me a pair which I have not yet mounted (plan to do it when I paint the car)

Were there troubles fitting them in?

Now thats a "BIG butt" Dodge! Nice work.

Jim actually passed away before I got these, but yes I got them from him. They fit ok. Most likely if I keep the car I will make cruiser skirts with the flow that I like

EXCELLENT!

I can't tell what the front bumper is - looks like it "could be" from a

Plymouth, but then again, maybe not.

Drive it and enjoy.

Definitely cool! I like it! The back is slick as is, but I'd probably opt for a rear bumper, too. I'm thinking the front bumper might be from a '50 (or so) Ford. Maybe. Or not.

Ok you asked from your first post for comments....

The car is awesome,,,,,, But did Dodge come out with a OEM sun visor? I ran a Fultons like yours until I found a oem one for my plymouth...

That's just a thought, but man that car looks good.
