Very sorry to hear the bad news. It hurts me seeing an antquie car geting hurt like this. I am glad you and the other driver are OK.

If you are comfortable with it, please share with us what the insurance company will do and or offer. I always wonder how hard it is to make a claim and what the compensation is on these old cars.

OUCH! sorry to hear about your car...hopefully the damage is contained to the front clip only...and the frame turns out to be ok...Glad to hear you are in one piece, hang in there. Damn, Ed... Glad you weren't injured in the crash. First thing I looked at in the pics was to see if the glass was still in the front. Do you have seatbelts? Looks like it was a pretty good whollup.

Hopefully your insurance company will take care of getting the car back together, and you will be back on the road before you know it.

I have a spare radiator hanging in my garage. I've never had it tested but it looks in good condition. Don't know what shipping would be from Colorado but it's yours if you want it.

That is one of the cars I have. I bought another for parts. I have both fenders and hood(not too good) needs some attention. Both front a frames with all the fixin's just need to be bolted on. Might even have a few stainless grille pieces. I Have all 3 little bars for the grille. Have the hood latch and other assorted parts.

What can I say but I know you must be heart broken. All of here cherrish our old cars and when one gets wrecked its kind of effects all of us. I know myself its only a piece of metal but its a peace of metal that's had our heart and soul put in them. I take pride in my old Dodge and I know you must also for your old Plymouth.

Well I'm glad no was seriously hurt and maybe you can salvage most of the car for parts. Like I said before its only a piece of metal and you will move on to another one. I have had over 100 old cars in my life and each one brings back a memory or two and I'm sure you will move forward and enjoy another old car.

So with that said just thank god that your ok and just move forward.. Jon

Good reason to put seat belts in. Glad to hear you are OK. A young whipper snapper like you should get some belts in his car. It would be terrible if you were hurt to the point where you could not drive again. A few will pipe in with some story on how not using seat belts saved their lives. Baloney!! I am also glad you are ok, maybe if you were driving a modern day car things would have been different. The irony of it all is that I was only on that street because I was trying to avoid the business of the freeway and the morning traffic. My normal route to work is no where near there.

I guess it depends on you insurance and not that I would want to find out but my policy is for full replacement. If yours is the same I think they would have to repair all the damage or buy you a car in similar condition.

As stated before sheet metal is a lot easier to fix then people so it is fortunate no one was hurt.
