  1. Five inches of heavy wet snow last night. No power from 7:15 PM until 4:30 this morning. Ugh, winter is here.
  2. One of my granddaughters goes to UAF. She says they have tunnels and enclosed walkways to get all over town. I'm still not going. Talkeekna was far enough north for me.
  3. Looks right at home, doesn't it?
  4. Had I come up behind a load like that in the picture, I would have called 911 and followed from a distance. Sounds like someone is pushing their luck, but more importantly, endangering innocent motorists through their lack of consideration for others safety.
  5. None of us are getting younger. But we will wait.
  6. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to you. We are so very sorry to read your post. Our hearts feel for your family, and pray for comfort for all of you. We stay close to you in our hearts.
  7. I need more pictures like that. That's what thanksgiving is about.
  8. Nice looking tool, but unless it's exactly the same diameter as your brake drum, or you have nos drums, you'll only get close to a good adjustment. You could probably make one from an old drum with the same results.
  9. You are fixing something that isn't broken. It's perfect the way it is.
  10. Make a great Band-Aid. Keep those pesky dentures in place. Made by Trojan.
  11. Regarding the topic title, "the dark side", a beautiful Packard is in no way "the dark side". This is the dark side, built by commies to intentionally burn oil.
  12. 1960 Oldsmobile had lug nuts like that to hold a spring loaded wheel cover. I recall it being a real bear to get off, easy to get on.
  13. Visit the biggest truck stop you can find. See what they have for battery cables.
  14. Yeah, that's it. Envious. Very envious. Nice looking car. You must be living right.
  15. Farm and Fleet, TSC, Big R, and other farm supply stores usually carry 6volt cables in stock. They also have 6volt ground straps by the foot. Buying new cables with molded battery terminals also avoids corrosion prone clamp-on terminals. It also helps to put a heavy gauge wire from the engine block to the body so your lights and accessories will be able to use the full 6 volts.
  16. Big R farm supply store Sunday Nov. 13, 2016. 640 CCA for $40, 675 CCA for $60. Made in USA.
  17. Why not just move the oil lines to another tap on the oil gallery. You can make new, longer, oil lines using off-the-shelf brake lines and fittings. Then use the longer starter.
  18. What does it mean when I stand sideways in the wind and I hear whistling?
  19. The blob, with Steve McQueen has him running around in a beautiful light blue '53 Plymouth convertible.
  20. Again, that sounds like work. Thanks anyway.
  21. Yeah, your probably right about that. But then the whole thing sounds like work and I don't do that!
  22. Nice looking truck, Greg. Say, can I borrow that next week to help a buddy haul gravel?
