  1. Thick oil also takes longer circulate through the oil passages on start up. Not a good thing, especially in cold weather, for a tight engine. I find oil thickened mostly good for mental relief.
  2. It seems like a whole quart of STP would slow the starter down considerably. Anytime other than July August wouldn't work around here.
  3. That's just goofy enough to be cool.
  4. You do great work!
  5. Ouch!
  6. That makes me green with envy. Seriously.
  7. House brand 10w30 detergent. Since Sept. of 1994. Infinitely better than anything in 1948.
  8. Well, that's a better hood ornament than that sheep's head!
  9. Take the clutch cover off and pry the flywheel around with a big screwdriver.
  10. Definitely a vacuum controlled water valve. Apply vacuum to the nipple and it opens the valve. No vacuum, no heat. Easier than the shut off valve on the back of the head.
  11. A fellow I knew that worked in a glass shop showed me how too set glass in a channel using electrical friction tape. Just put it on top of the groove and push the glass into the channel. He actually used a wood block and a hammer to finish it.
  12. I got a big o-ring from the plumbing department at the hardware store. Works perfectly.
  13. Do I sense jealousy? Yes, it's coming from me!
  14. That car is the meaning of the word SPECTACULAR.
  15. It's obvious to me that it would be an insult to every Marine. I was just saying how dependable the old car is for me. Merely a comparison of reliability. I apologize to any and all service men and women for any perceived inference that any car could be described as worthy of the honor of any member of our armed forces .
  16. So, I would be safe calling my old Plymouth "Semper Fidelis" as its always been faithful.
  17. And all those National Guard engines.
  18. This is from my son who also has that engine; disconnect the battery for a few minutes. It's possible the drive train computer needs rebooting.
  19. Todd, just doing a grandparents job. Good teacher.
  20. Been there, done that. Neat little place.
  21. I have a Special DeLuxe trimmed 2-door sedan in opposition to the last sentence in the description of differences. However, I'm not sure, but I don't think the 3 passenger coupe came with Special DeLuxe trim.
  22. There now, doesn't that feel better? Sure looked like a crack tho, didn't it?
  23. Congratulations! Doesn't it feel great? You made it work and this is the thanks you get from Ma Mopar.
  24. It's those etc's that'll get you.
