  3. You need residual pressure in the system to help keep the wheel cylinder cups expanded so they don't leak. If the cups don't seal tight against the bore, air will get past them into the cylinder. It used to be that when you parked a car for a long time, you would disconnect the battery and put a stick between the brake pedal and the front seat to keep pressure in the cylinders.
  4. Try this just to see whats out there. http://natmus.org/
  5. Indiana allows passengers in a trailer. But then, Indiana has a lot of stupid ideas. There is no way I would put my kids in a trailer to ride. I believe that now in their 50's, they have more sense than that anyway.

  7. I distinctly remember that tread design! The first new tires I ever bought, late fifties, I think. They were Armstrong tires sold by Sears, Roebuck and Co. with the name "Allstate" on them. I was so proud!
  8. I think you should check the inside diameter of the drum at the outside edge and at the inside. It sounds like you could have a bell-mouthed drum. If you do, and you can get it turned within the limits, it should solve your problem.

  14. That's what I did, 6 volt alternator made it a very dependable car. its been starting that way for 68 years. Who needs 12 volts?
  15. That's a number done by Tex Ritter in 1947. Search it on YouTube to hear.
  16. Does that cost more than $50 ?
  17. Never mind.
  18. There's no need to dwell on it, he got the point! He is positively grounded in the basics of ignition.
  19. Did you catch any Michelin?
  20. Now that's the way to post an answer!
  21. I think number 2 is a 38. :
  22. I think there's a $unflower Fair car show in Laporte this weekend. Check your paper for info.
