I've been googling for about an hour trying to find some #12 x 5/8" Slotted Round Head Wood Screws with no luck. the local hardware stores don't carry any either. I've found one place but they want you to buy 300 at a time. Any and all help appreciated.

those are the plans that I used for mine. I made some modifications but basically the same. Instead of paying $600 for just the hoops I went out and bought a huge wire/cable reel and used the hoops off of it. $100 cost.

A week before I tried to start my engine for the first time I put a squirt of MMO and ATF, 1/2 and 1/2 mix, in each cylinder and let it set. Smoked on start up for a bit but ran fine and the rings weren't stuck. They might not have been in the first place. Don't know. Didn't hurt anything that I know of.

try heating the corners up with a heat gun or hair dryer. When soft tape in position to cool.

if you get a new one made it's cheaper if you have the old one for a pattern. Don't destroy it. Take it out carefully.

put some clearcoat on the doorjams, trunk and firewall. The last two were with flash. Kind of washes the color out a bit.

2 things I was dreading when I dismantled my coupe. The rear drums and the WDT. I'm so happy that mine popped right out and was almost new.

I'd id them as "crispy and bubba'd". lol

worked a bit on my chassis today. I unwrapped it and noticed that the red paint that I painted the brake lines with was peeling. Figured that wasn't going to last so decided to put wire shrink wrap on them. Not as bright of a red but will last a long time I bet.

put a wind generator on top of the main mast.

Picked up the 200 washers that I had to buy today. I'm going to use these as replacements for the front fender washers. Here's two photos of them. grey is original and black is new. The dome part is wider than original and there are more inside teeth. But they look very close to original. As close as I could find.

Finished the front inner front fenders and was able to do the door jams, firewall and inside with basecoat.
