studs are for the rear of the front fenders. I cannot get the washers unless I order 200. $50. No problem doing that but I don't want to sit on a bunch of special washers that I will never use again.

letters are flat. 5 1/2 x 8 5/8:. Do not know the font. Dark blue background and yellow letters. Sign shops are few and far between up here in Alaska. I'm trying to find someone online that can do the graphics and then find someone to make a decal/sticker. Tks

1947 Alaska license plates are very rare. I'm going to try and make a reproduction but have very little knowledge/skill set to do so. I have 8 or 9 photos of plates but would like to make the 4 numbers on the plate be 1947. Can anyone help change the numbers? Also, anyone know where I could then send the finished photo to have a sticker made? I have the correct blue soy license plate material. Thanks.

fluid drive should not have anything to do with upshifting.

sorry but I have the photo in the attachment above in my manual. It doesn't help. Look at it. It lists the same number for 3 different rubber mounts. When you check the parts number that it lists in the parts book it shows four different part numbers under that number. Have no idea which is which.

Unfortunately many were missing, broken or otherwise unrecognizable when I took the body off. I had to cut through over half of the bolts as well. Bolts I can get. I just want to buy only what I need. Tks

So no one has replaced the mounts on their D24?

I found them at Steele's. They just don't say which ones you need and how many.

Confused to say the least. I'm getting close to needing the rubber body to frame mounts. The parts book shows 3 different ones as far as I can tell. One that is T shaped, one that goes with this one that is round and flat, and thicker flat ones in the rear. part code for the first two is 23-05-10. under that number there are 4 different parts listed. the rear ones have two different code numbers. 1 is the same as the others and the other code number is 13-48-4. When I look up that number it is under "insulator running board bracket." Totally wrong. When I found a "mounting kit" on line and in Steele's catalog there are 4 different kinds. 2 are the same as the first 2 above and then one round one with a raised part near the inner hole. Has anyone figured out which is needed and how many of each? I also need to find or make the "sleeve assembly". The round washer with a tube welded on. Anyone make/sell these? I would guess not so I have resigned myself to welding some up. Any help straightening out my confusion will be appreciated. Photos of the ones in the kits/Steele's included.

I got most of my rust repair patches from a donor. I thought that it would be easier and it turned out not to be all that hard. If I can do it so can you.

Have you asked about pans for a suburban? If they are different I doubt that anyone makes yours. As Ed says yours aren't that bad. I'd patch them.

Am so happy with the way it's turning out I had to make a video. Don't know why it stops and starts. I have been very nervous about how straight the metal work would turnout. This being my first time really doing what I hope will turn out to be a quality job. You Tube, patience and going back over every little thing one more time seems to have paid off. Enjoy.

WCL emailed me and told me that Fastenal either will carry these or can order. My local Fastenal doesn't carry them but has ordered them for me. $5.00 for 20 + shipping. If they look like the photo they are extremely close to the originals. Here's the number that Fastenal found them under: DMTP-0375-22-01 Update. No Fastenal store carries them. It's a minimum order of 200. $50 + shipping. Don't mind ordering them but no way I'd use more than 12. Anyone else need any?

You'll need both front and rear. Just a thought on the tailgate. Wood shrinks unevenly. That old and that dry you will have shrinkage.
