  1. JC thanks for telling me that those files are there. Unfortunately I can't open them. I keep getting the message "file is corrupt". Looking at the instructions on renaming and combining them and then unzipping them leaves me dumbfounded.
  2. Thanks Knuckleharley. That's what I thought but before I bought it I wanted to get some kind of confirmation.
  3. Have to wait until the car gets here. It's being shipped from Michigan.
  4. ">http:// This is the problem with mine.
  5. I just bought a 1947 dodge 3 window coupe. It has a bad right rear fender. I've found a 47 Desoto 5 window coupe near me that has a decent fender. Will they interchange? Thanks
  6. either black with dark maroon interior or the other way around
  7. I hope not or it's bound to be disappointed.
  8. I'm looking at this one and I think the green is ugly as sin.
  9. I've found a 1947 Dodge Business coupe in Warren Michigan that I'm thinking pretty hard about buying. Spoke to the seller today and he told me about 3 or 4 pencil size rust holes in it. I asked for some better photos. What came to me looks as if theres more rust than that. I don't mind having to fix some rust. I just want to know what I'm getting for my money. What I need is someone to go see it and give me a condition report. I'm willing to pay some money for it. Anyone interested? Would like the car looked over mostly for rust. I know it doesn't run so no mechcanical needed. harrell68@acsalaska.net Thanks Casper
  10. Wells fargo, my bank will do for me in a branch office down there. I have to say Wells Fargo has taken care of me over the years. No charge either.
  11. That's the one I've settled on. I'd rather have the 3 window but it would cost me more than the car to get it up here. How did you work out the payment on the car that you bought sight unseen? I hate to send that much money to someone I don't even know.

You would not believe how many hours it takes to blast it with a small sandblaster.

    Just arrived home

$600 farm fresh My daughter bought this for her first vehicle. She was 15 at the time. She sandblasted every single piece on the truck with a Sears home sandblaster. Paid for everything herself.
  16. The one I'd want back is my 64 GTO convertible. Sold it when I joined the Marines.

  19. Just joined. I live in Alaska and have been bitten again by the "I have to have another project" bug. I've redone a few cars/trucks in the past but haven't had a project for 10 years. Past projects include 49 packard 48 chevy pickup 57 buick 41 plymouth coupe 56 dodge 54 olds 6 or 7 GTOs 39 chevy pickup (daughter's first vehicle) 63 GMC I've found a couple of coupes that I'm interested in. The problem is they are in the lower 48 and I'm up here. Vehicles up here are almost all rust buckets. One is in Bangor PA and one in Spokane. Anyone know how I could get an independant inspection of them? I know noone in either place. I just can't bring myself to buy one sight unseen without an independant incspection. Shipping one up here will add to the cost can't risk having it show up with lots of bondo or rust. Thanks. Casper
