I just remembered, are you talking about the oiler? There is small tube that is mounted to that threaded hole, You can see it in this pic. But the threaded hole is in the block not the cover?

Fred, I did the same thing about 2 months ago(gauge is off also) Now I keep a gallon of gas in the trunk. Also keep a can of starter fluid with you, it will allow you to start much quicker with less cranking.

If you open it up there should be a switch for 4,6,and 8 cylinders. Do you know what it is it selected to?

I have heard that people have used krylon fusion spray paint with good results. If you do a google search there is a guy in Germany that has a good quality brush on paint (I'm sure someone will post it)

Greg, You are right, since I quit my last job they still haven't hired anyone for my position. One of the planes that I looked after broke down and my old boss just through a generator at it without trouble shooting the issue and just wasted $70,000 . Turns out it was a broken wire in the system. Glad it wasn't me that made that decision!

Here are a few short videos of the airshow we had this weekend at Jones Beach (click on the pics), I was based at the airport to launch the aircraft. The first 2 are the aircraft that I look after, the third is the only flying B-29 in the world, the fourth is a A-10 and the last is a F-18. It was a GREAT weekend!

Fred, how is your battery voltage? If it is low, the spark may not be strong enough to light the fuel right away.

This weekend we did a run out to Montauk Point with over 50 Mini's. It was a great time and thought you guys would enjoy the pics. As you can see it was foggy out at the light house .
