  1. Great work! Looks like it belongs in a museum.
  2. Great! It is a good feeling
  3. When you rebuilt the motor did you pull the timing chain and gears? Just wondering if the timing marks are lined up.
  4. Did you rotate the rotor 180 or the whole distributor?
  5. Can you use your hook on one of the inner holes in the tube? Maybe the metal is more solid in there?
  6. Any luck?
  7. Just a username and password
  8. Try turning the distributor 180. I had the same problem on my rebuild, started right up after. P.S.- Make sure you have oil pressure before it starts,Good luck!
  9. I had to drill 2 new holes also.
  10. Yes, the pan will drop down without jacking up the engine. For a quick fix you can add a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer to thicken up the oil.
  11. You can check your oil pressure relief valve and spring (spring could be weak or valve binding).
  12. In the manual it states any pressure above zero at idle is acceptable. I think it also says at 30 MPH you should be at 40 PSi. But a fresh rebuild will show at or above 40 psi at all parameters (will still vary with cold or hot oil).
  13. Mine is a 2 row and cools just fine
  14. Here is mine before and painted up
  15. I was able to get a new aluminum radiator from this ebay seller for my 50 Plymouth. Do a search of his stock and he may have one. Or maybe one can be modified to fit. http://www.ebay.com/sch/koolradiatorscoolingsystems/m.html?hash=item2566869bbf&item=160633887679&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&_trksid=p4340.l2562
  16. Maybe a pre-game video of the start???
  17. But before you do any of this do a compression check, you will be able to tell if your valves need to be adjusted or rings replaced.
  18. Welcome to the forum, since you say your oil is black it would be a good idea anyway to pull the pan and clean it out. You will be shocked at how much sludge will be in there. While the pan is off it's a quick job to inspect the bearings.
  19. Looking good . We had a couple of days of rain to wash the salt and sand away, I was able to take my 50 out for a nice drive today (45 deg. )
  20. Give these guys a call, they can make plastic windows and parts. We just had them form new windows for one of our SNJ's (very reasonable). Just send them the old piece and they can form a new one, I'm sure they can do colors also. If both sides are the same send them the good one if the other is too far gone. You will probabily want them to make both sides for you because the new one is going to look to new . http://www.lpaero.com/products.html
  21. Very cool, the eagles are amazing.
  22. Looks like it went on real smooth
  23. Someone actually bought the other one that Mike posted for $750??
  24. I think I do remember that, do they know what the cause was? This is a video of someone I know who had to emergency land his Texan. The trooper just happened to get it on his dash cam after he pulled someone over http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=sfAd4r99Cqo
