  1. We have SNJ-2's, 6 of 11 remaining. They are a variation of the Texan, Navy version.
  2. Since I finished the flathead rebuild last winter I needed something else to play with. She flys great

  6. Be careful installing them, if you tighten the nuts to much they can pull the stainless and leave a indent.

  8. Greg, you got two out of three right. It is used as a roll bar and used as a lifting point. You can remove 4 small bolts some wire and tubing and lift the fuselage from the wing using the "roll bar" as a lifting point.

  11. Here is a quick video of me running up one of our SNJ-2's, it has a Pratt and Whitney R-1340 radial engine on it. We have the airplane in for inspection and thought you guys would like to see the plane somewhat apart.(click on the pic)

  14. I went through the same thing, I don't think there are any specs for the thickness. I had them cut and made sure they didn't look too thin after.

    filter

    Mine originally had a sealed filter on it, I was able to find this Fram filter at a local auto shop on the shelf
  24. Also put some sealant on both sides of the gasket when you reinstall it, how is the surface of your pulley? I had to install a spedi sleeve on mine.
