  1. Here is a ebay listing for an aluminum one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-Row-Radiator-1946-1947-1948-1949-Plymouth-Coupe-/190517376944?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5bb877b0
  2. Hey Fred, you should make all of your adjustments with a vacuum gauge to really dial it in.
  3. Does your car have a heat riser? Is it stuck in the open position?
  4. Could your brakes be dragging? Also check e-brake. When is the last time you checked the timing, points and plugs?
  5. Looks like a very nice car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth-U-SEDAN-U30-ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-CLASSIC-HOT-ROD-RESTORE-plymouth-U-/320676393673?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4aa9cd72c9
  6. I saw this one at a show this past weekend.
  7. Looks GREAT! Love the color:cool:
  8. Go to any good auto store an pick out what looks like a good match, thats what I did and they work great. Also less than $3 for about six of them .
  9. Hey Mike, hope you dont mind me asking but how much did he charge? I would like to get mine done maybe next winter. Is he on Long Island?
  10. Ed is correct, 2 cylinders one on top and one on the bottom (total of 4 for the front). The rear has only one cylinder per side.
  11. Great pics Bob, You trained Cooper well, it looks like he is checking for wear on you tire in the first pic .
  12. Hey Mike, post a pic of your silver BMW I saw on Sunday. That was a nice ride
  13. Joe, I think if you worked on cutting a new pattern on the roller it may work well. Rich, your wood grain came out great! I did a search on wood grain powder coating it may be somthing to look into also. Anyone have any experience with this?
  14. Mike, If you can't find one you can always buy the aluminum one like I have and use it till you find a NOS one.
  15. I dont know, but I guess you can say I eyeballed it by pulling the drum slightly and checking the gap between the pads and drum.
  16. I got my drums back and installed them on the car. It seemed like my drums were warped after they were cut, I thought this was strange. I continued to perform the adjustment found on this PDF http://www40.addr.com/~merc583/mopar/p15pdf/brake.pdf . After I adjusted them the pedal was nice and ferm and the drum contacted uniformly around the pads . Once I get my seals I will go for a test drive. Next week I will do the rears.
  17. Now that I have my drums turned I will only have to adjust the minor adjustment, right?
  18. Try this link http://www.c2cfabrication.com/
  19. Check ebay, I got lucky and got my white walls for $650. They were brand new with the nubs and blue still on them. I also got lucky because they were local and did not have to pay for shipping .
  20. I just dropped off my drums at a auto shop near where I work to get turned and they only wanted $7.50 per drum. Nice to see there are still some shops not taking advantage.
  21. I think I opened a can of worms, since I have the drums off I decided to scrape all of the dirt and grime off of the backing plate and suspension parts. I have been wanting to do this for a while, looks a lot better now . Still have a little more to clean up while I am waiting for my seals.
  22. I just ordered them from Rock Auto for $11 each
  23. I wanted to replace the seals and went to Pep Boys thinking they would have them, they looked at me like I was crazy. Napa should have them on the shelf right? Part Number that is on them is 1138758.
  24. I got them out by using a extension and hammer, the other way is a good idea also.
  25. I want to get my front drums turned (they are slightly out of round) how do you get the inner bearings out? Is the retainer pressed in?
