  1. The ship is different but the size should be the same. This fits a 15 inch rim. I have tried on 3 styles of dog dish caps they all fit the same wheel though. Not saying there isn't something else out there. 1. 7 1/4" 2. 13/32" 3. 9" (It looks less but it is 9" on the nose.) Also the profile from the inner measurement to the outside diameter is offset. Say 3/8's from the outside is flat (slightly concave to the inside of cap.) to a 70 degree angle for the remainder of the inner dimension. I have four all painted a bit different to see how they look.
  2. No power as started and the setting will look like an upside down horse shoe. Then just touch the meter probes and read the display. By that I mean one lead to the terminal and the other to the base of the sender. Assuming it is a single wire sending unit. Basic example on the 6th pic down here. The meter should read the amount of resistance as the arm from the sender go's from top to bottom in its travel. So 10 ohms resistance is empty and 78 is full. http://www.etgiftstore.com/meters.asp
  3. Jeff That sounds like it may work for numerous steering boxes as well. A lot like the "corn head grease" that has been discussed. Like this thread. http://p15-d24.com/topic/28571-steering-box-debate/?hl=%2Bcorn+%2Bhead+%2Bgrease
  4. Its an animated gif so will repeat indefinitely.
  5. I went the other way a 1940 Od (Dodge R7) into a 50 Plymouth so not sure how relevant it is. Also what version of OD as I thought they were not available until 1952. I ended up with a 1950 bell housing, a 55 230 and flywheel, and then the 40 OD. The shifter arms on the transmission on mine was the only change. The speedo cable worked just went over the top of the tranny. So I guess the best answer is that it will fit but you have to remember to swap enough parts sometimes and keep an eye on those you don't. Also the wiring diagrams for both OD transmissions are available in the resource area. He should try to get the associated relays etc. if possible. This may be a good time to look at clutch pressure plate etc. since it is that far apart. Its the domino theory after all. With that in mind he may want to go with a switch mounted kick down like Blue Skies. He also needs to remember that with the OD engaged regardless of model It will not hold in gear going forward on a hill. Sorry turned this into a laundry list almost. Al
  6. WOW Not sure what it was other than a good reason for the young man to find another Job. Al
  7. A picture of the firewall may tell if it is a factory option. Any extra holes? The fire wall behind it does have the same shape as the heater though. On the other hand if it works you have a heater.
  8. I have to agree the squeegee is the way to go. Faster and keeps the streaks away.
  9. That was my thought as well.
  10. The 803 schematic was already posted in the resource area. http://p15-d24.com/files/download/35-mopar-model-803-radio-information/ Not sure if it is the same as a 807 but here they are. There are two files one listed for the mopar and one philco.
  11. Thank you for the info. I thought once they were balanced (with the individual pots0 you could dim or brighten from a single. I guess if you go to low they wouldn't function.
  12. Wayne Can you run a potentiometer on the Dakota module to control the brightness for all of your gauges at one time? Seems like all you would have to do is find the path to ground it is using. You could get a dual gang unit and add your dash lights as well. Anyway just throwing it out there. Al
  13. The way you describe is pretty much how I use it. I have used it around town just going from 2nd to 2nd Od for roads at 35 to 40 that are stop and go but mainly I use it for roads posted 50 mph and higher. 1st gear would have to be at 28 mph so not likely to engage.

  20. Johnny just upload it in the resource area. It will go there no problem. Al
  21. The R7 engages at 28 and can be kicked down with a switch same as the R10. It also operates in any gear as long as the 28 mph +- is reached. The differences as far as I can tell without owning the R10 is that it lacks the second solenoid and uses a centrifugal unit to engage. You do have to let off the gas after you hit 28 mph for it to engage. Not sure if the R 10 has that method or not to get it to engage.. George Asche would have better info. The wiring diagram is here. http://p15-d24.com/files/file/37-r7-od-wiring-diagram/ As far as cost George Asche normally prices them at about 200 less. That was a few years ago. Do you know if it works?
  22. As was mentioned earlier the R7 will be cast into the side and also there will only be one solenoid where an R10 will have two. Here are a couple of pictures of my R7. You can see the R7 in my second pic to the right of the solenoid.
  23. My guess 1914/15
  24. http://mopar.pairserver.com/p15d24ph_forum/links/goto/74-the-carburetor-doctor/ There are a few.
  25. I have a spare set for a 1950 Plymouth marked KPK64. Pics attached. Purchased from Kanter. EDIT Kanters shows a KPK 342 for the Meadowbrook. So my spare set will not help it appears. The KPK64 shows for Wayfarer. Looking at Rich's post there are three if you include station wagon's limos etc. same as Kanters. Looking at Roberts they show one set for all years and models so looks like you need to try another vendor. For comparison my spare set.
