  1. I made a mistake in telling u I had disc conversion from Fat Man. It was Ply Do back in May, 2007. Ply Do is not in business any longer. I do have their instructions which may be of help to You. I apologize for the error.Scan0012.pdf
  2. I have a '52 Dodge with a '98 Explorer rear end. I am running original wheels with no problems. I have 215R75 15 tires. I am also running fatman front spindle/disc and air bags and have no clearance issues with tires hitting anything. Bob
  3. I have a 98 Explorer rear in my '52 dodge and I am running stock rims with no clearance problems. Same bolt pattern.
  4. I have a 9000 lb. Eagle 2 post , model MTP-9F that was installed in August, 2011. It has a floor plate and 113" posts. The floor plate is no problem for me but may be if you are changing transmissions.I have 12' ceilings and my Dodge Wayfarer has plenty of clearance at full lift. There is approximately 6' clearance under car. The lift is symmetrical, but I don't have a problem getting in or out of car and I have sizable gut. I put split foam pipe insulation on upright where door would hit. Lift is 220v and requires 20amp svc, but I have 30. Also, I have Dalton I drive automatic door opener which has no center rail. Something to consider if u have automatic doors. I have had no problems with the lift and am very happy with it and feel safe working under it. I paid $2000 for it new. That was for lift, delivery and install. Came from Greensboro, N.C. to Va. Beach, Va. Bob
  5. WOW, who would of thunk?
  6. When I got my new wide whites I left the blue on as somewhat of a protective film. I would recommend this, except I would advise you to take a damp cloth and remove the blue on the bead that goes under the steel rim. I did not do this and after they were mounted I cleaned them, but under the rim is still there and when you drive the blue streaks out on the white. This eventually stopped, but took a while. I also told the tire guy to please be careful with the white and I stayed and watched him. They came out fine. Bob
  7. Earl, the skirts came from Agape Auto Parts in Evansville Indiana. Phone is 812 423 7332. They are steel. I had to do a little adjusting to get them to fit properly, but it was no big deal. I believe I paid $225 about 4 or 5 years age. I can't take pictures right now because car is not at the house. When it gets back I will take some pictures of attachment. Bob
  8. These 2 videos have probably been posted before, but still pretty good. First is high revving mustang and second is pretty cool old convertible. Hope they show up. Bob
  9. take a look at Max Merrit Auto for stainless.
  10. Is the cap hitting the dust cap? I have some 51 Chrysler caps that hit the dust cap and I cut the top off cap and removed 1/4in. and welded back together and they fit.
  11. Did u have the body off frame? Rear looks a bit high also.
  12. Earl, I posted some pictures of the car with the Diamondback tires on it on June 28,2014. I'm not too good with the computer and posting pictures. Bob
  13. Earl, The tires are 215/75/R15 3" wide whitewall from Diamondback. They fit good, no rub and handle fine. Tires were $224 each plus $78 freight. Bob
  14. I have a '52 wayfarer with the oval stem holes. I used the stems from patchboy. I am running tubeless and have had no problems in 6 years. Bob
  15. Looks good. What did you use for sills Bob?
  16. Try Agape in Evansville, IN. They make steel skirts for most older cars. I bought a set for my '52 Wayfarer and am very happy with them. Only thing I did was put some rubber fuel line on the attachment hardware to make for a tighter fit. Bob
  17. I live in Virginia Beach, Va. That is on the border of Norfolk, Va. You oughta hear out of towners dance around that one.
  18. I have a set of '50 Chrysler wheel covers on my stock dodge wayfarer rims. The covers are 1 3/4" deep. I had to take 1/4" out of the dust cover to get to fit. I cut the dome top off the cover and welded flat top back on. Bob
  19. Try Diamondback for tires. I have stock rims on my '52 dodge and run tubeless with no problems. May want to put a dab of silicon on the inside of the rim on the rivets. Bob
  20. Looks good to me. Nice metal work. Bob
  21. I have a '52 Wayfarer and it came with one arm rest on drivers side, but also had attachment hardware on pass. side. I think if u remove your door panels you may find the hardware to attach a pair if u can find them. mine also only came with driver side sun shade. Bob
  22. All correct on dust cap, except took one quarter inch, not one point four inches. sorry for confusion. You may not have same problem. Depends on how shallow wheel cover is. Bob
  23. Just as information, I bought a set of '50 Chrysler full wheel covers from Bob Taft on this forum. When I tried to install they would not go all the way on. I had to remove the dust cap and cut about 1/4" off the top dome looking shape and weld a flat cap back on. Now work fine.
  24. I have a '52 dodge wayfarer with a Plydo disc brake kit that has been on it for approx. 7 years. I am running the stock wheels and they are fine. I can't remember for sure, but I may have had to grind the caliper slightly. If I did it was very little. I have a spare set of stock rims in the garage and I just came from there and they measure 15X4.5. The back space is 3 and 9/16 inch. Hope this helps. By the way, I have a daughter who lives in Mesa. Good luck. Bob
  25. Yes, the 306 autolites are gapped at .060. Bob
