  1. Very cool, Thanks for posting. Bob
  2. Check Monroe shock site. I think they have a chart that shows extended and compressed lengths as well as mounting configurations for all their shocks. Bob
  3. Nice work, looks great. Bob
  4. What's wrong with "epic". I think it is an awesome term. Bob
  5. Thanks for posting. Well worth watching. Bob
  6. I did what 40plyrod said. I put a layer of duct tape on the rim edge where cap tangs makes contact. I also use a rubber malet to mount caps. Bob
  7. I have an Eagle MTP-9F that was installed in august, 2011. I paid $1500 for the lift and $400 for delivery and installation. It came from Greensboro, N.C. to my house in Va. Beach, Va.I am very pleased with the lift. It is a 9000 lb synetrical lift and has worked perfectly. I know you can buy better lifts, but for my limited use it is fine. I have 4" concrete floors and that is what they call for minimum. I doubt this lift would stand up to the use a repair shop would put it through on a daily basis, but for a home unit it is perfect for me. I use mine primarily for my '52 Dodge and my '58 ford. Bob
  8. Looks good, Paul. Thanks for the heads up. Bob
  9. I have Agape made skirts on my Wayfarer. They are nice skirts, but I had to put pieces if rubber fuel line on the fastner part that squeezes the fender to get it tight enough. I also put self tapping sheet metal screws through bottom of skirt and fender edge. You can't see the screws. Bob
  10. The air bag suspension is from Slam It. A friend who does mostly mini trucks did it for me. No C notch, just smal adjustment to trans tunnel which is hidden under seat. Yes, it is converted to 12V. Your grille looks really good. Appears to be floating. Nice work. Bob
  11. Paul, I used scotch brite and 1000 grit to clean up bumpers. They are not perfect. I plan to shave them this winter, but want to find another front bumper without the license plate cut out. The bumper guards came from jbugs. They were $16.95 a pair when I got them, but I think they are $18.95 now. I used 6 pair and have 1 single extra. I cut them down with cut off wheel and made L brackets to mount to splash pan. Less thna $100 plus a little labor. Bob
  12. Thank you Mr. Bill. The grill is cut down VW bumper guards. Got the idea from a guy on the HAMB. Paul, the paint follows the natural belt line of the car. The blue is "Haze Blue", which is a 1950 Chrysler color. I,ve had the car since 2007. I wrecked it in 'o8 and took about year to get back together. It has bone stock motor with dual carbs and split exhaust, hei ignition all from Langdon. Has a T5 w/c Mustang trans, also from Langdon. '99 Explorer rear end with 4.10 gear, which is too low. Will probably change to 3.73 or 3.50. Bob
  13. First try at posting photos. This is my 52 Wayfarer showing ride height and dropped on air bags plus a couple of front and rear. Wish me luck. Bob
  14. Joe, I checked this morning, and I have 5 of the 5/8 and probably 50 of the 5/16 ball bearings. If you want to pm or email your address I will be glad to send you what u need. You can them as i will never use them. Bob
  15. Joe I bought a box of each size for my '52 dodge. Let me what size u need and how many and I will send to you. If you're not sure, I have a extra track on shelf I can check. Bob
  16. dkopesky If u can get it done for $1200 u are doing the right thing.. Mine were $1014 to diamond back and $108.48 to tire guy. I hate to settle for something less than I want, but it's to much hassel to start over again. Good luck. Bob
  17. On 4/9/14 I called james at diamond back and ordered 4 AS4 www radials, 215/75/15. They were $224 each and I paid an additional $10 per tire for extra 1/4" of whitewall, which should be 3 1/4". Total was $936 plus $78 ship=$1014. He said 2 to 2 1/2 weeks which was fine. On friday 4/18 UPS showed up with the tires. There was 2 packages of 2 tires each. The whitewalls were packed facing each other in the pack and they were wrapped tightly in plastic. Very nice packaging. I put both packages of tires and 4 rims in my truck and dropped off at my tire guy to get mounted and balanced with new valve stems. I picked them up and they had the typical blue protective coating on them. I got them home and they didn't look exactly right, so I measured the whitewall and it was 3' instead of 3 1/4'. Now I have everything mounted and balanced and ready to go, so I decide I will just live with the 3' www. Called James and he says to send a picture with a measuring tape held to show 3'. I did that on 4/20. Monday 4/21 I called James to see if he got picture, He fumbles around and says yes. He says "let me see what I can do". I have emailed him 2 more times and still have not heard back. I guess all I want is a credit for the $40 and maybe a "we're sorry for the mistake", but at this point I have no response at all. Guess I am just venting, but it seems like that they just don't care. I will let u know the results if there are any.By the way, the tires are very nice and ride and handle good. Customer service just sucks. sorry for the long rant. These were put on my '52 Wayfarer with stock rims. Bob
  18. I have oval valve stem holes in my '52 dodge rims. I got stems from patchboy.com. Yjey have a large selection of stems. Bob
  19. Believe the A pillars are taped or banded to keep doors closed. Bob
  20. The 3rd picture looks like the one from my '52 Wayfarer. It has exposed metal on bottom. Wouldn't be surprised if dodge and plymouth were same. Bob
  21. I'm in the same situation. I have BF Goodrich Silver Town bias from Coker on my '52 wayfarer. I want to put radials from Diamond Back on mine, but I am holding off as long as I can to see what people have to say about the Auburn Deluxe they are supposed to have soon. From pictures it looks like bias, but is a true radial. No reviews yet that I can find. If not the Auburn I will probably go with the AS4 just for lower price. Mine will probably dry rot before wearing out from use. I think Hankook and Toyo both have decent reputations. Bob PS You can see a picture of the Auburn on page 22 of the on line catalog.
  22. The Sears wrench is called an obstruction wrench. If you look at the Sears description, it says "obstructuion wrench for going around obstructions". I guess the title is a mistake. Bob
  23. Thanks for the link. Bob
  24. Thanks for posting. Good info. Bob
  25. The horn ring wheel would appear after market or it is broken. It is off center. Bob.
