Realized I forgot to post the driver side work from last week. Second time around is easier, and WAY faster.

51 B3B build thread - after all these years
ggdad1951 replied to bkahler's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
One thing to check (you might have) is the front mounting of the mechanism to the firewall. if you can pull that down, that should also pull the vent down. Also the mounting point on the dash, pulling BACK on the should apply a "down" load to the vent as well. I know I poked at the final spot for everything on FEF. The whole vent cover assy is pretty robust (with the "T" shape)...warping that would be tough without seeing some ripples in the metal somewhere. -
So another door made the ultimate sacrifice yesterday....but I like how the look is coming on this. I have too many doors laying around, might as well use them instead of them just sitting.

Didn't know we had a quota! I'll make files even smaller from now on.
-
yah well that's why I asked the group at large! Was it just me or is it a system/site issue.

Anyone else seeing issues with adding attachments? I wanted to add a picture today and the biggest file I could add was about 13kb....a postage stamp....is it just me or is there some sort of "total attachment size limit" I am aware for a user? My process to add pics hasn't changed but now I get these warnings and the file size keeps getting smaller each time!

Thanks guys, a few hundredths of a second the wrong way and you'd be looking for a new moderator likely (I'm sure a few here wouldn't shed a tear) and this thread would just.....end.

been a while...but made SOME progress this weekend. What took me 2 days should have taken 4 hours. Working a little slow after last weekend's highway speed collision we hobbled away from.

Got mine from Roberts if I remember right -
When I tung, my rag is only 6" square....and I don't put it where other things can light off. Simple safety to me.
-
I've used tung oil extensively over the years...never has an issue.
-
All my potential fire rags get put in a metal bin after use, be they from wood working or vehicle. When I'm woodworking, I put the application rag IN the stain and put the lid back on for re-use later. IMO you don't have to worry while using the rag, main concern is after use and it's just sitting there.

Ok, please stop circling the drain on this. We know documentation does/can/might exist and we also know you can do what you want on an engine and make is still work if you know what hoops have been jumped thru. Please move on. IF this continues I will lock the thread. -
