  1. Depends on whether your flying car has vertical take-off and landing capibilities...
  2. #1. I don't recall any staples around the perimeter of mine, but I've heard some talk of some material like wind lace between the trim and the body. #2. Yes, the slots along the bottom edge is for defrost vents. There are slots in the dash panel at the bottom edge of the windshield too. And if you have a good heater there may be duct boots screwed to the bottom of the dash under those slots that would connect to the heater with a hose. #3. I don't have an exact size for the screws, but they are like a Trim screw with a small bugle head. A rough guess would say they're about a #8 X 1-1/2". Maybe someone has one that they can measure, or share a picture? I'd have to try to remember to pull one out tonight to contribute that info. #4. I would... As I said, mine didn't have any staples and I haven't put anything back there, but yours must have had something attached to it as a filler.
  3. Pipe dope thread sealant works just fine.
  4. Fred, Don't you already have 3.55 gears in your truck? Why do you need an OD trans? It would seem like the final gearing may be a bit low for a good cruising RPM, and keep the engine in a happy power range.
  5. The only cross reference I could find for a BR-3 was at Wix, and it shows it as a Bowser Briggs filter, which crosses to the Wix 57290. http://www.wixfilters.com/Lookup/PartDetails.aspx?Part=1725806 It does show Dodge trucks (57-61) in the application list. It may be what you would need.
  6. I would suspect that you got the tail light and brake light wires reversed.
  7. http://www.then-now-auto.com/fuel-pumps/ as stated earlier. Assuming, of course, that they can ship to Brazil
  8. Tim, Are you sure that the steering units are the same between the B-2 in ‘50 and the B-3’s and B-4’s of ‘51-‘53? I believe that the steering column angle was changed in ‘51. I thought the steering units were different to accommodate that change. Merle
  9. Based on that listing, I believe the "Vehicles Built for US Market" would be the indication that it is for the 23" engine. Without that reference they leave you to assume that it was probably built in Canada and would have the 25" engine. That is a bit cryptic for someone that doesn't know that subtle difference.
  10. A couple of years ago, when I put my truck in the front yard with Christmas lights, it was a bit chilly (low teens) when I went to put it back in the garage after Christmas. I wondered how it would start, but it actually fired up quite well. My neighbor even made a comment on how well it started. He didn’t think it would. As stated above, a good battery, good cables and electrical system, and a good state of tune is a big plus when starting in cold weather.
  11. The ribs should be solid red as far as I know. The tops are worn off and showing the stainless.
  12. Maybe you need to get the proper parts for your pump from Then and Now Automotive. http://www.then-now-auto.com/fuel-pumps/ They can even help you identify the pump to be sure you get the right parts. I suspect that the NOS diaphragms that you have aren’t correct if you need to stack 5 gaskets to get it to work.
  13. Good news! Merry Christmas
  14. I see him post frequently on the Facebook Group, “Vintage Mopar: The Early Years - ‘62”. Usually trying to sell something.
  15. I ran a set of those on my truck for several years until I finally sprung for the repop units from DCM. I remember only paying $6-8 for them at my local Farm & Fleet store.
  16. Looks like you have more modern 4” trailer light, not an original light. Probably why the lense is different size.
  17. T306 would be from a B-3-B truck, ('51-'52 1/2 ton). Should be a 218.
  18. Stainless grill bars were optional for the B-2 series trucks. They were standard equipment on the B-1 series light trucks, and optional on the medium and large trucks.
  19. You’ll sacrifice a little extra $$$ for DEF.
  20. If you can plug the coolant port at the front of the block, or in the head, then you would eliminate the internal bypass.
  21. The Wix 51080 and Napa 1080 are the same filter. Wix supplies filters to Napa and they drop the first digit.
  22. From what I’ve seen recently, the new redesigned models are going away form the gun sight grill all together. They’ll all be like the previous sport models.
  23. I thought maybe you were opening a barber shop for inner city youth that moved to the suburbs... The Suburban Fro Shop... And kicking it off with a sale.
  24. ebay...
  25. First thing I would do is change the oil with some SAE30 or 10w40 and see what it does. Do the easy stuff first
