  1. I really like that green one.....especially the color.
  2. Driver's Ed cars for elementary school children.
  3. The mechanic who's done some work for me, including two or three engine swaps, has one of those devices. It works real well. When putting the engine in the 49 P15 coupe, we did learn that you can't use the bellhousing from a 41 Plymouth in a P15. It hit on the lower edge of the firewall. So had to pull the engine back out, change housings, then go again.
  4. Ai Yi Yi.........remind me to never take bobo to lunch at a Mexican place.
  5. Nice car. You could spiff it up slightly by adding the Royal Lancer spinner wheel covers. This one with the knight head is the factory cap. Plus a pair of those twin "fishing poles" - the dual rear antennas.
  6. Well, a person could cut off that top and reolace it with a stock one. Some people seem to try and chop a top but gave no fore thought to the glass.
  7. Looks great Robert. Good pics.
  8. Do the tires seem to be wearing evenly.......on both the outside and inside edges???
  9. Good pics Chris. Thanks. On occasion at shows, I let young people sit in the car.....they seem rather amazed at the dash. I figure just maybe one of them might go on to like old cars.
  10. Thanks for the pics, Jim. Sure is fun to get the ol car out and simply enjoy it and others at the event. You usually meet some very nice folks at those cruise-ins.
  11. Not all aftermarket lenses are exact copies of the original, which has some grooves in it. Some repros are smooth on the outside. This is an original.
  12. I had the glass Lynx Eye blue dots on the convert for probably 20 years here in MO.....never stopped or any problems. Also had the blue dot stop light. But.....one day a friend said he was behind me on the road a few nights previously and had trouble seeing my tail lights. So, I switched all back to original lenses.....they do show up better. Keeping the blue dots for keepsakes, just 'cause I like them. I once made plastic 1951 Ford lenses into blue dots, using some loose dots I had. That was pretty easy, but adding them to glass would be rather tricky.
  13. I was going to say about painting the back of the dash a light color in the interest of being able to see things better there. One of those little wire or brass brushes (a little bigger than a tooth brush) is handy for getting into small spaces. And they're fairly inexpensive. Hang in there Randy.....you'll eventually get it done.
  14. Don, happy to hear the car performed well. Some days ya gotta draw (or send) these guys a picture. If your rockers have not been modified, there should be some holes with captive nuts behind to attach the trim clips. And the stainless piece should have an attached stud at the front end that goes thru a hole in the bottom fender edge.
  15. Looks right respectable Tom. Did you use a paint brush or a paint pen?
  16. The new turn signal units should be 7 wire.....and should contain directions for hooking it up. Once I got mine wired up, it works fine. Have double filament rear bulbs, so have both blinkers and stop lights on the fender, plus the stop light on the trunk lid. However, I left the parking lights with single filament bulbs (original) and they only work as blinkers....I can't use them as parking lights. But how often do you really use the parking lights? Just how I did it.....for whatever it might be worth. The tilt-a-whirl might be OK, but totally forget the roller coaster.
  17. I wonder how long it took to figure out how to make all that stuff work, how long to set it up (and then re-set it after a performance), how much all that stuff involved cost. Fun to watch though.
  18. A Dodge limo???? You don't see many of those.
  19. Lookin' good there, David. Congrats on the award. Your car is super.
  20. email sent
  21. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your family.
  22. I see the seller did not post a picture of the convertible. Wonder how bad it is.
  23. The wheels look good. I like the look of the car as you've left some of the original stainless trim in place. I don't care for these Plymouths with all trim removed.
  24. sometimes around here, ya gotta be real 'pecific.
  25. Looks as if they painted the centers of the stock wheel covers white....was red originally. I kind of like the look. Should make someone a good project.
