If you know how to print a picture from your computer onto transfer paper.....you can take that transfer and a shirt to certain quick print stores and they can put them onto the shirt. In other words, you can make your own heat transfer.

They have drawers full of rubber washers and other similar items at Lowes and other places in the hardware aisle.

Perhaps 3M trim cement. I think it comes in some different strengths. I believe it comes either in a tube or spray can. That Shoe Goo is tough stuff also.

Yes, I believe the bottom half of the part that goes into the hole in the body is curved some......and does go into the bottom side of the hole first. Then, if a good clip made correctly, the top portion should pop on in. The clips go on to the car like this, with the open H part up.

Well, one time someone told me to have a helper sit in the drivers seat and pull on the steering wheel. Then a second person use a rubber hammer and tap on the back side of the wheel hub. I think we tried that once on mine and it worked. Probably depends on how rusty the wheel and shaft are. Would have to use a little caution with that process. Has any liquid wrench type liquid been applied??

I use a hinky little rig which has a round disc with a large bolt in the middle, some slots around the edge thru which to put the bolts to attach it to the wheel. I put the bolts into the threaded holes in the center part of the steering wheel, put a quarter on the end of the steering shaft for the middle bolt to press against, then gently begin turning the center bolt with a wrench. Hope thats not too confusing.

My son in law had a jeweler go thru his P15 clock and make it work. While at it, he cleaned up the face and repainted the hands for him. Looks real good. I think he may have charged about $60. Just a thought.

Doesn't the Service Manual tell how to aim the headlights??? Seems like mine does.

That's probably the correct name for them, but they were generally referred to as "swamp coolers" as they use water inside, which is soaked up by some straw type material, then the wind blows across it to "cool" the car. Like those big window coolers for a house.....also referred to as the same name. There were several brands made in the day. They appear on ebay along. I think mine went airborne with the tornado and failed to return home. It was in my large storage shed which disintegrated.

You know, it's one of those things I never got around to I guess....taking a picture of the hood as it was. Just never thought about it. The majority of the houses there were your typical one story ranch type with either two or 3 bedrooms, two baths, either one or two car garage depending upon size of the house. Most constructed by the same builder in the 1970s. Nothing fancy in most cases. Now, with the advent of the new taller roof style, most of the new ones going up have the higher, hip roofs instead of the lower gable style. Our distinguishing thing was the "teepee" over the front door.

Hi. Yes....short side of the trim down on rest of the stainless. The hood, door and quarter trim use a clip with the stud in the middle.... centered on the clip. The front fenders are the only ones that use that clip with the offset stud. Think I may have some pics of clips. These are the correct, original belt molding clips for the side trim......but others will work. I can't recall the name of the vendor who has lots of clips.....someone should have that name. Here are some other clips that will work for side trim. This is the offset one for the front fender trim.....I think the stud goes near the top.

Thanks guys. Chet, the room will be a closet, but things should mainly be around the walls.....will definitely make it a point to leave adequate unused space in the event we need to hang out there. Kirk.......I had a chain saw too, but it was electric. Wouldn't have done much good after the storm. It will be nice to get back to living in Joplin in our own place.....driving 30 miles to town is not much fun even though it's a good road.

Hi.....welcome. Good looking coupe....that interior is nice. Regarding the marine engine......I seem to recall from some past discussions that SOME marine engines may turn in the opposite direction than a car. Don't know if I'm remembering correctly, and don't know what problem that would be if so. If you don't have a repair manual and a parts manual, those would be a great place to start your library. They contain a wealth of information.

......being built on the site of the house done in by the tornado. The tall thing in the background will be the reinforced concrete safe room. It will be a walk in closet with a steel door.....just in case any more storms come thru. Several houses in our neighborhood are now being rebuilt or repaired. Many have incorporated safe rooms. They may start the framing this week. Others coming along.....still kinda barren looking though. However, it looks a lot better than this.......you can see the new room we were having added on the back of the house.....it had roof decking before the storm. The Plymouth was in the garage......but garage disappeared.

Has anyone used a rubber hood lace to replace the fabric one original to the old Mopars? Apparently it comes in various thicknesses and has an adhesive backing. You leave the original nails and put small holes in the rubber item, to go over the nails. Or, how have you mounted your lacing? Were the nails removed first? Where did you find the original style stuff? Need to replace the lacing on the convert. Thanks for any info. Progress is being made slowly but surely. Dale is also smoothing out the passenger side from accident damage that was mostly (but not totally) fixed before I got the car in the 1970s.

I haven't had fender bolts re-done, but at one time I had the rear bumper rechromed. The guy at the shop told me to remove the stainless covers from those oval bolts, which can be done with a pair or two of pliers.......then he chromed the actual head of the bolt......was a tiny bit smaller head that way, but looks good. Could be done with the round bumper bolts too.....anything that has the stainless cover on it. Just tossing this in for whatever it might be worth to someone.

Uh, Robert, I believe he said his new ride is a 1941 model......so P15 designation would be a replacement engine. Not sure what the prefix is for a 41. And - you brought up another thing I'm not sure of.......just what the S or C stands for in regard to the P15. I thought one meant Deluxe and the other Spcl Deluxe.......all I seem to have is questions, but no answers.
