  1. I have owned conduit benders for years....finally made use of one of them when running the electrical on the unenclosed carport....no clue for the removable hook....these were given to me many years ago...I collect all tools to have on hand....you never know when you may need it.
  2. maybe if he could find the trigger with his finger he would not need a human shield...funny though, very funny...
  3. buy some lucky charms and maybe you get free snake oil in the box...without starting with some basic rudimentary troublshooting...it is a roll of the dice...chances are you may do some damage....Pulling a head is childs play and good sense for an engine that shows some sign of resistance to turning...but then as is always the prayer of the wannabe...maybe he will get lucky..
  4. start with a compression test and if this shows good, follow with proper static timing....
  5. your personal choice based on availability of rebuild kit, cost of kit and most important in my book, the condition of the throttle shaft bushings. consider the air cleaner and if will mount to the non stock unit.
  6. look like my fenders.....well, 'cept for the paint finish
  7. there are a few prominent styles.....there are the overlays that I think cheapen the look of the car as they cover the opening and lay against your paint job...you have those that will fit the opening and have seals between the metal to metal and locking tabs behind the panels....then you have a company making glass skirts that are GROOVED to slip in from below and lock on the fender opening and bolt at both outer corners....so yes you will first have to decide on the look...then the style and then your pocketbook could have a final say in the purchase....
  8. as I view these this very minute....my AC is running....however I know I will be building a fire in the hydronic not too long off.....got plenty of wood and I have not ran my ducting for the exchangers I have for the shop...told mums that is next after this outdoor work station addition to the barn. Loops are run, pumps in place, thermostats etc on hand.
  9. this is my last lighting upgrade.......I have since picked up 10 more fixtures and another 2 cases of LEDS...I will soon be total LED shop, barn and outdoor work bay...they just too easy.....so cost effective and outright purchase....good fluorescent lights are as costly and way less efficient and lumens are way less...Running conduit for these at this height was the worst part of the job....but you would have to do that no matter the lights you using...all things being practical.
  10. 65 and the nose has been shaved of trim and rally wheels....who knows what else was done to it....
  11. probably the worse one can get....but I have definitely seen some work worn well into the 'beyond gone' and drum brakes also might I add to the point that they separate some folks will not spend a dime on maintenance till it become a major investment instead of a minor tweak and then complain about the cost...
  12. single end is direct wired.....your post sounded as though you we going to work multiple light units....stores will still be way to costly....order online.....I have bought about 200 or so of these tubes...am starting conversion in the barn now.
  13. I recommend you convert them to single end LED tubes now while you have them unmounted and such...takes about 12 minutes start to finish for a 4 bulb 4 foot fixture to be converted and wired with a ground pigtail.
  14. I think you may have joined/posted the wrong forum.....this is typically a Mopar site dedicated primarily to flat head engines......
  15. nuisance bears and other nefarious animals are often seen only on Monday nights in my area as they chase after the same piece of pig skin... real nuisances here are squirrels and armadillo in that order...the record weight black bear in my county was bagged just less than 1/2 mile from my house by a Peterbuilt....had he been taken in legal hunt...that man would probably hold that record for quite some time. The game management agents had been looking for him for a few weeks but he seemed to always be a step ahead of them.....he was sporting a tracking collar with dead batteries...he was reported by resident as he was raiding cans and bird feeders etc. I have only seen one bear nearby and that was 8 miles up the road.
  16. I am sure it was not as much the cost as the availability at time of need...back in the day there was not an auto parts store on every corner, every small town.
  17. hey...mini vans are the best in daily modern driving.....I said I would never own one....now I have three licensed and insured along with my B250 Van. Better than a dang truck for certain...easier to load, hauls as much and hauls it dry....I am not talking rock and sand...real stuff that is valuable and deserves good handling and treatment...
  18. try another distributor for your area.....these NAPA numbers cross to national brands....an oil filter is not designed to be cleaned and reused.
  19. ONLY if the cat itself is also red.....else.....he best hope them wheels are turbo powered......
  20. to bad the little bug doesn't run right now, a monoxide cocktail is in order....there are other methods over that of a cat for mouse control....I think it fits somewhere between myth and wives tale...! We have had our first cool months collection of vermin...mice will be the second wave.....being surrounded by peanut fields...the little varmints are well fed right now to travel.
  21. I like the fact you said oil dry and not cat litter.....If the neighbors cats wander into my garage I send them home more slippery than they arrived as I use them to wipe up oil spills.....? NOT but I dang sure don't want a cat on my property just the same.....I shoo them out post haste
  22. I'll take can number two for 200 Alex...
  23. ok...I see we have a small problems...US means UNITED STATES...not territories....
  24. worse than red wheels...it is GM junk
  25. hope we never see the 2021 corvette stage, I prefer things that work
