  1. IF you do run a wire through it, round the end, make sure it is very much smooth ball so as not to abrade the inner lining....this swelling condition and or rust should truly be addressed now with a new hose if found to be distorted or dirty within as found by rodding...pay me now or pay me later type stuff where late night, shops and stores will not afford replacements and quick fixes.
  2. even a gravity gun is vented on the paint cap.....this cap must be clear and clean...they will draw a vacuum otherwise. Between coats I try to keep a small plug in my vent hole to prevent drying over between coats...
  3. I have seen brochures where poetic license shows red trim where never was featured on a production car...so a brochure is not a good statement of authenticity
  4. I do not have a problem...just saw your earlier post with the wheels not red.......as for half painted wheels, I have never seen them myself but then I have never seen every car ever made...regardless if or if not factory...if the body is not red, red wheels are just ugly....
  5. sorry to hear of your poor harvest. Our garden this year was great, we still have tomatoes ripening, of course bell peppers and banana peppers seem to continue till frost gets them. Ate a couple of fall season radish the other day. My only disappointment was not getting a quality seed for the second crop green beans. Wife put away a lot of stuff for winter and made plenty of dill pickles and salsa. After the frost...will mix in some manure from the stable to compost over winter for next years planting. Will start out next year with 50 large buckets over the 25 I started with this year and I did start a bit late.
  6. is this the same car you posted pictures of in Dec 2012? that one does not show red wheels in those photographs. I also do not think the wheel above is factory paint with just the outer section showing.....unless you bought this car new anything could have transpired from the day one till you got it....anything
  7. you can gravity feed the carb from a small fuel tank by holding it higher than the carb...this should fill the fuel chamber and allow the float to shut off fuel intake. Once filled....hook up the fuel pump and lines as normal. It will start and run on the reserve in the carb. The fuel pump should suck fuel from the tank and while running on the carb bowl fuel....it should self bleed the system and when fuel reaches the carb..it will fill the bowl and again float will maintain proper fuel level from there.
  8. no problem Loren....I have been guilty a number of times of reading over a key word when replying....could just about point this ugly finger at everyone here one time or another...
  9. call up the folks you got it from, surely they have the answer for the very parts they are selling.....
  10. think that is an antichatter spring where the the rod meets the clutch arm...
  11. please read the fact the man states in no uncertain terms that the front wheels turn freely while the rear stay locked....rod length and vent port blockage does not apply here...
  12. red wheels on a red body car is the exception.....the only exception...!
  13. how were you able to see the inside of the hose? good luck with your visual...
  14. check the rear flex hose for internal blockage..they collapse with age..pressure is great when brakes are applied, shoe returns springs not strong enough to overcome the resistance and fail to return fully
  15. show me where I am unreasonable and red wheels are not.....its just an opinion....there are a number of stories of when and where red wheel become popular.....most go back to the Ford A where red was one of three colors available.....the 32 being a most popular rodding platform and red is an eye catcher....I just think the wheel should NEVER outshine the car itself but as stated in cases of butt ugly....red wheels could be an improvement...red wheels and hot rod black paint....two things that is over done and one combination that is just horrible looking in my eye.....running into the back of manure wagon would be an improvement.
  16. red wheels are used when your car is so butt ugly that you do not really want folks to focus on the car as if a known fact the eye will affix to the red wheels....?
  17. if I recall correctly this was referred to as acrylic plastic......this is a read to when developed and some uses... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly(methyl_methacrylate)
  18. we had an addled older gentleman at Lowes yesterday....if not addled, he was the most rude and selfish person I have seen in a while...he should have been escorted by an abled mind and body...sad part is he was driving...coming in the exit...blocking the entrance not once but twice....goes to the head of the line for service in total disregard for waiting customers.
  19. did you check both spelling definitions.....? the urban puts a not so good twist to your word.....?
  20. if I recall we had a famous country singer who knowing he was drunk drove his lawn mower instead of the car/truck...got a drunk driving ticket just the same.
  21. well, you got one too many T's in that spelling I am thinking.....changes the game quickly.
  22. what kind of fern' car is that...?
  23. I do not make it a point to watch anything...it is just what the wife has on for the most part....I will watch Law and Order....Big Bang Theory for laughs and if a movie does come up I wish to see.....record it, watch it when it is raining or late night and ff through the commercials. Still I admit, I see more TV than I should...
  24. watch a bit of tv et, wife has it on and my computer is in the same room...I listen more than I watch...people laughed at me when cable cable out and said great, no ads...I just said not yet...its a coming...again they laughed said I was crazy....
  25. still sound like it is not relieving pressure....ensure you brake pedal is adjusted to allow full return of the master plunger and said plunger if fully returning...
