  1. good to have the old car....better yet however, CONGRATULATIONS on your retirement.....you gonna love this part of life....
  2. I can only think that huge rubber safety bumper was there NOT for your error in driving at high speed but if case you bruiser neighbor in his rolling American Iron tank backed into you.....DARE TO BE DIFFERENT...and that is different for sure.....love that hood scoop...that is what kept the hamsters alive....
  3. was able to catch this veteran as it made a thru-flite on its way to retirement at Wright-Patt.....I was quite surprised to spy this bird one day while doing my QA rounds and drove immediately back to the office and grabbed the camera. Hanoi Taxi.....given special permission to go back to the original paint scheme....the oxygen panel where the POW's signed on the flight home.
  4. well to some degree we benefit from the private entities....the other, they always makes one wary...
  5. you did not think they gave the Window 10 away for free without some manner to recoup the cost...you are a commodity being bought and sold on the internet daily...
  6. interesting reads....I only have flown in the military C-141 as I took a couple hops long ago and my longest flying adventure was in a AF C-5 across the Atlantic puddle with layover in Spain bound for Bahrain....I was one of 5 people who got bumped off the returning flight and flew via 747 coming back...at that time Cathay Pacific was the best airline in the service area. Out of six trips to the mideast...5 1/2 was commercial.
  7. no such thing as patina on steel....it oxidations is rust, it in not a protective barrier in any form of the word.....I like the term above PAINTED WHEN PARKED.....probably the truthful description ever offered.
  8. that can be for a number of reasons but I would add my opinion after visiting a few yards....these are pulled for an inspection for rebuild worthiness....and the time to reassemble is not invested as these places sell mainly CORE items and not running blocks. Never stand behind a dismantler at these sights without a catchers mitt...bolts are flying in all directions. OR they in a supply agreement with a chrome plater for cores on these covers.
  9. I always enjoyed the slow races when I used to ride me motorcycle....harder than you think....!
  10. Lot of cabin fever in winter...add the covid factor....many folks are at t he breaking point...hang in there if you survive covid, spring is coming...
  11. for sure it is not a P15 or a D24......those colors would not look good on an over weight hippo
  12. well....odds are with the car that is represented, and the fact you drive a beat up chebbie truck....the only way you could get close enough to that car to appreciate the paint scheme is if you crossed the center line and stopped it in a head on......?
  13. those are very complimenting colors
  14. lesson one should not use power tools when drinking...
  15. I believe the time to ask that question would be when he was on the phone....however I would say your are measuring centimeters.. I lost a toe nail due to a dropped spindle....
  16. it is the surprise factor when assembling you find out that a part that is supplied is not suitable.....it is also the fact they know of this and have not cared to correct it, or to any statement here issued refunds or lower the cost for you added expense for a work around....feedback from the field it seems has fallen on deaf ears and if the average car tweaker comes up with a fix, surely they could easily engineer said fix in their product...it is this shortcoming that is the twist many do not like to find.
  17. tell them due to the fact this style product is forced on you by regulations newly written, it comes with a learning curve which often cause rework issues.....as it would normally take but 8 ounces to do the job and when finished I have 8 ounces on the panel.....the 10 times to get it right still only reflect 8 ounce on the panel....(PS when arrested, update you forum profile)
  18. I am going to take that icon above as not so much as a thumbs down on policy but to reflect local government thumbs-on your every actions....
  19. would it not be just a simple phone call to your paint jobber and get the real skinny...?
  20. it appears that they did not do anything to correct the report from the field that they the caps are not fitting properly and that is a shame as about 5 or so months back they acknowledged there was an issue...bet they did not even roll the prices back either...
  21. seems the newer cameras default to a large size file.....you should be able to edit your setting to smaller pixel count but even this is getting to be quite a large format itself. They keep upping the default size all the time. Else....load them onto your computer, use the program paint and resize and save this size as a forum friendly copy while retaining your original size...
  22. well, you have his take on the situation....based on your inspection, what did you find wrong? Is he confusing welded as opposed to rust fused. your thread did not say the nuts were welded....only the pins are at issue and should he get the pins out, the nuts off, is he equipped with the correct puller to removed the drum without doing further damage....second opinion may be needed but only after you form one on your inspection...
  23. the bz cp trunk has more than enough room for a dozen small kids...no odor, less noise...?
  24. three per side if you count the vent glass.....
  25. you always see the phrase RAN WHEN PARKED and now for the true meaning....I parked the car and as nothing worked including the emergency brake, I RAN as fast from it as I could so not to get hit if it started rolling.
