As for cleaning the padded dash...I have always used the original formula creme (no abrasive) Go-Jo..cleans and protects..never have had a cracked dash.

While Larry's approach to the car may find disfavor with those who like originality..his dedication and accomplishments speak volumes. Not only is there a chopped car pictured but also a fully modified front suspension with Volare sub-frame..if anyone has ever looked at the work going into a sub-frame of this nature on these Doge/Plymouth frames, rest assured it is not easy on this frame as compared to the straight frames of the trucks they are more popular with in retrofitting. And to think this has been accomplished since his first question in November of 2006 Unless he has been sandbagging us....!!

Just stay away from aklyd enamels..good solid heavy pigments..but will chalk (oxidize) bad with age. As many choices out there as there in terms of methods, products and technique as there are shops and painters...choose your own poison.

The battery is not hard to find, Advance, Napa etc carry them as does the TSC stores that are popping up everywhere...finding a battery cases to appear old...TSC may be your best choice for the tractor battery..If all fails in looks, maybe peeling the decal off the battery will help with the LOOK

Sounds low MPG...look into the three main controllers for that engine..first the O2 sensor that test the exhaust for over rich condition...(flase reading) then the temp sensor for the computer, not the one for the guage inside, this is usually a two lead device near the thermostat, if in error it may be reporting the enigne is still cold and thus the over rich condition. And lastly the MAP sensor that guages the air density in the manifold and regulates the fuel ratio that mixes with that. All these should be a quick test at the local Auto Zone/Advance Auto with the diagnostic tool. These would be the first places I would look for gas robbing.

That is why there is a choice...

The automotive industry is predominately BC/CC and yes dealers like to stock the quick movers..their primary customers are collision repair...it is not that you cannot get them..only your area dealer is not carrying them..it would be a second line for them and an added inventory cost. Shop around a bit...even Carquest carries the Nason industrials, (single stage enamel) and the DuPont people are the seller of the Nason line...DuPont HAS to be selling Centari yet..that was their main bread and butter and still should be ahot item for them. Centari take about 30 days to cook out...R&M much faster, don't over look your Sherwin Williams dealer..it is good stuff...Some independent auto parts places also sells ACME and the you have NAPA and the Martin Seynour line...nd then ther is your stand by Ditzler aka PPG.

I just got this paint mixed at my R&M dealer..single stage acrylic enamel..I have owned cars this color in the past and I guess I flat out like them...the one pictured above is nice..and in the lighter color just flat looks bigger than life...

by chance do you have a keyboard laying around from another computer..borrow from the neighbor for a quick check..did momma spill anything on the the keyboard..alien blood drip on it from the monitor while playing games...???? Could very well be just a common bus on the keyboard printed circuit shorting or maybe opened up somehow...

does not sound fun at all...I do no gaming at all and definiely not on the web..no music down loads..I also did a search for similar symptom you desribed with no valid returns. Do a disc cleanup--disc scan and defrag..what you got to loose? I do this quiate often anymore and it sure is a plus...there are times I cannot do a disc scan even with all application turned off (only Exployer and Systray on, this must be active) unless I do a Disc cleanup..at time Ihave had to arun this twice for it to run the others. ME is not your friend..not that familar with XP home edition.

These old cars came in a color known as Desert Tan..or Bahama Sands?...either is a pretty single stage enamel non metallic that will be pretty and at the same time has a great abiltiy to hide dust and road dirt...I will be going Desert Sand with mine due to the fact that it is shaved and void of trim...large cars with dark colors and no trim look weird...nothing defiing the lines..lighter colors make these car stand out...

I run ME edition..it is a bastard and should have been pulled from the market and purchasers refunded..after a long period of time on line (DSL) I have to shut off the computer for a reset as I often get a tab function that returns you to previous page..seems to be the only prob and the only fix thus far. Have you used your disc management tools of late?

Actually the 54 has some very distinct cut lines..making paint schemes very easy...I have always loved the colors on your 41 I think the grille on the 41 Plymouth and 41 Dodge was the best of the 40's....not that the others are bad looking..just that these appeal to me more...

years ago I came to the conclusion that to pay entry for a car show...waste a day baby sitting it...the fact that you cannot slap the snot out of kids with sticky fingers..(lot of adults need slapped also) is a waste of time and money. For sanity and such...drive the daily there..see other cars..free to walk about..come home when you want...trophies collect dust..got more of them than I need and care not to get another...I have take best of show in a field of 200 so I have nothing more to accomplish. I will do a cruise every once in awhile where there is no set schedule..pull in and out as you wish...easier that way...
