  1. That now looks right. ? That’s why this forum is great!
  2. I believe PA is right.
  3. Not enough attention apparently. ? It was Atlas who carried the world on his back. In Greek mythology he actually carried the heavens (sky) on his back and separated it from the earth. He stood at the ends of the earth (for the Greeks) and it is commonly believed, in mythology, that he straddled what is now the Strait of Gibraltar.
  4. I did that too. I just used small rivets in my hand held riveter to attach the felt after it was cut to fit. If you can’t find felt thick enough, you can double up.
  5. I think a lot depends on proper adjustment. A service manual helps with this. I have three old Mopars with this type of handbrake. One works really well, one so so, and one not much at all. I need to get my lazy butt under the cars and adjust two. Pretty flat where I live so not high on my priority list. Worst slope is my driveway so I just leave the cars in gear. ?

Very sorry to hear you lost your dad. 99 is a long life. My dad was 99 also when he died two years ago and was a WWII veteran also but in the Royal Army. 99 is a grand age but it is still hard to lose a parent. My thoughts are with you as you deal with your loss.
  7. All’s well that ends well. I usually put a short bit of 2 X 4 between that cup thingy and what I’m jacking up.
  8. I’m jealous. We’re still in a deep freeze here and the roads are crap. It’s going to be quite a while before I get an old car out. Glad to see you can and are enjoying your gorgeous Chrysler. I’ll just keep plugging away at my one non-Mopar oldie.........my ‘63 Ford ? Fairlane 500 which is having open heart surgery. Sure glad to have a heated garage!
  9. Nice car. Nice colour. Nice wife.
  10. You stole my comment! I was going to say the exact same thing! Don't want to plagiarize! ?
  11. If you have heart issues, best of luck, but I hope you are not doing the below. I miss Gary Larson. This is still my favourite.
  12. Ditto. Definitely worth checking. I have had this happen.
  13. Great job! Looks good! Love the colour and it really makes that great looking grille pop!!
  14. I do remember with fond memories. LOL About the garage. You are thinking big but you need to think HUGE. No matter the size of a garage, it is never big enough! ?
  15. Such is life in Canada in the winter! Yesterday, I was supposed to fly to Maui with my daughter and two grandsons for 16 days. Would have been nice to miss this winter c**p but due to C19 and closed borders, it was not possible. Rebooked condo for same time next year and keeping my fingers crossed.
  16. Probably had my last drive of February. ? Temperature presently -20C/-5F with fair bit of snow on the ground and more coming. ? Oh well, I’ve had a good run this winter up until now but Old Man Winter is presently making a statement!
  17. That's all you have. Other responders on this thread actually support their points-of-view one way or the other.
  18. Nice car. Love the colour!
  19. If you are thinking of buying a pre-made wiring harness there are a couple of companies that make them, YnZ and Rhode Island. You have to be careful when ordering anything out of the US as your Canadian Dodge D25 is really a Plymouth and you should order the Plymouth harness. When I restored my '51 Dodge D39 business coupe (Canadian Dodge) I ordered the wiring harness for a Plymouth and if fit perfectly. I use YnZ but lots of people use Rhode Island. If you plan on making your own harness, use your original as a template.
  20. Looking forward to pics. Change in forecast here. Gonna turn quite cold with some snow now in the forecast. I might be done getting the ‘48 Dodge out for a while. Looks like Old Man Winter wants to finally visit. I’m not one of his fans.
  21. My cars would be hibernating too in those conditions. However, so far this year has been an unusually warm and snowless winter. Supposed to get colder for a while starting tomorrow. Probably get a big dump of snow at some point. Stay safe.........and warm!
  22. We usually have lots of snow and cold at this time but this year has been an “open” winter. Strange but nice. I’m sure your coupe will turn out perfectly looking at the pictures of your work on it. Do you have an “as found” picture. They’re always fun. Your ‘39 Chevrolet is gorgeous. Something about a black car. My ‘48 was pretty rough when I got it and missing many parts including the rear window which had been shot out. I had a garbage bag taped over the missing window in the below pictures. Two engines, two paint jobs, and lots of other work between then (1976) and now.
  23. Years ago, when I was restoring my ‘48 Dodge D25 club coupe I needed to replace a back window which had been shot out. Even then it was a hard piece to find as it was larger than the sedan rear window and unlike the rest of the glass it was curved. I finally came across a club coupe with only one piece of glass in it......the rear window. Found the owner and he said give me $20 and you can take whatever you want off the car. I took the rear window with good rubber moulding, both doors, trunk, hood, and a few other things. Sometimes you get deals but that was a long time ago. Still got that rear window in my coupe. Edit......... Ha ha, found a picture of my coupe when I first got it and had covered the missing rear window with a garbage bag to keep out the worst of the weather.
  24. Your time will come! With my ‘48 when it reads a bit over 1/4 you need to find a gas station fast. I’ve learned to live with that annoying idiosyncrasy.
  25. Great picture of the Chrysler but ........366 1/4 days ago. 2020 was a leap year. ?
