For the feed line to the filter, look for where the oil pressure gauge line is coming from, along that casting there should be another tapped and plugged hole along there to place a fitting in. For the return, look for a similar plugged hole near where the dipstick enters the block.

Starting to look like a car.

Does any one sell a remained gear box or a kit to rebuild one of these? I have tried the upper screw and star wa s her but to no good result. Have about 3.5 inches of play. It 8s work trying to keep a straight course. I bet the Mayflowered answered the helm than Kate does. Bad shoulders make all the movement very fatiguing.

I guess if it were mine, I think since it is so straight, I would be thinking of putting some color on it. I know original patina is a thing but the period two tones and colors were too cool not to do. But that's just me.

Put half the amount called for in a fresh tank, burn it up and blow it out. Doubt that a half Can in 16 gallons would have much negative effect.

The official name for the aligning points on sealed beams was "gizmos" . Heard that somewhere within the last couple days. Maybe do a dark room test to ascertain if there was a real advantage to the bullse Eye or if they were just marketing.. A photo of the patterns on a white sheet on low beams at 20 ft for comparison sake, of all the variants would be neat. Wonder why bulls eyes went away if they were supposedly superior to their regularly lensed contemporaries. Or did the feds get involved to standardize light beams and patterns thereby banning them? My father was always complaining about the headlights in his 60 Dart. These would have been 12 v standard sealed beam 4 bulb set up.. His complaint was that the low beams were inadequate and the high beams too bright for driving on the new interstates as you couldn't use highs in moderate traffic with a car in front. At 65 you were to close to the car ahead, but low beams didn't project far enough for safey at that speed. This compared to his 54 6v Dodge with what might have been bullseyes. I do recall he added what he called passing beam auxiliary lights to the 54 which he used instead of high beams on the newly being built interstates and turnpikes as he said they illuminated the shoulders and exit ramps better than sealed beams, and could be used at highway speed without blinding the car in front.

If you have the tapped head bolts, they make anchoring the vertical heims simple use a lock nut to secre them at the height you want. -

Been thinking of one of the 550 to 750 cc units. Not sure I can handle 400#s anymore, but they all seem to have a lower c of g than same weight and cc. motorcycles. Honda, BMW, Suzuki, Yamaha, Aprilia, and a Kymko, who provides the BMW engines are also in the marketplace. Three to 5 year old ones are reasonable prices these days.

What's the scoot Tim?

Recently put the lights and wind shield on looking for wiper stancions, passenger seat frame. Top frame, mechanical tach, and a few other bits. I have a rear view matter from a 356 porche that's probably as expensive as the car. Talked to a fellow on Thursday. His girlfriend wants one to go along with his RHD mini Cooper. S. So it may be going to a better place. I can get in but out, not so much. Maybe it will fund a z3 or an alfa roadster.

I have the stacks mounted but will be putting a pair of off set filters. 1098 yes , ribcage trans, carbs have been ministered to by a SUoligist back in 63. Car was run on the road for three years, then turned into a hill climber through the 70s, then auto crossed and gymkana till the 90s then in the shed since.

MOWOG of legend is a minor God that must be appeased with various expensive potions, hard to find alchemistic trinkets, small bits of glass wire and foil, herbal poultices under the seats, and whizzardly wardings and ruins against atmospheric moisture, to keep the insides inside and to confine the smoke, and to keep aire in the tyres

Is that standard color for Austin America? My 1098 bug eye motor is the green color. Looks like the stuff the bus driver put down when somebody tossed cookies on the school bus. Looks sharp! What are you thinking 70 horses?

My aunt had that Cushman in orange. She used it 2x a day to get to the school bus garage about 3 miles from her house. She rode in most any weather except when school was closed. In the summer she made doughnuts at the local mom and pop grocery the scooter was her only transportation for three years. She saved up enough money riding the Cushman to buy a 7 year old 55 chevy 6 that came with a teardrop camper. I don't think the scoot went more than about 30.

Look closely at the head topside. There should be a pipe plug screwed into the hole. This gives access for a tool to ascertain TDC for cylinder six. Since 1 and 6 travel together, when 6 is at TDC, so is one. This allows you to set static timing when you determine 1 is oncompression. ( 6 IS TDC exhaust) ypo can also insert a long wire to measure an unknown blocks stroke.

Guess the diaphragm is toast as I got no resistance through the tube. Looking at another site some one said he adapted one from a slant six to work on his distributor but it was an IGS. But those chambers are out there for《 20.00.
