Are there any u pull it yards in your area? I have a 6 blade fan off from a 53 218 spare engine I acquired, that I plan on installing on my 52 218.

I have a Jump N Carry brand that states to disconnect from battery as soon as engine is started to prevent over charging the jump pack!!! Maybe a battery tender junior would be a suitable way to recharge it.

Been some concerns with replacement oil pumps. Check out Freewheeling Tony Smith for proper oil pump prep.

I would think local is the way to go.

The way I understand it, GL5 is for rear diffs., GL 1 is for the older transmissions.

That is what I use due to the GL 1 rating.

I sourced a right side switch, the style that is one of the hinge bolts, from a pick a part yard and installed it in the left front so my dome lite comes on when drivers door is opened. 52 Cranbrook

GL1 is required in these transmissions to protect the brass components.

Hazard (4 Way) lights and Signal lights separate relays

On my 52 with the Signal Stat 900, the 4 ways and turn signals both function with the ignition off and of course with ignition on. -
Picked up a by-pass oil filter assy. at a local pick a part yard. On the "T" it shows, "use P40 refill", I assume this is a Purolater unit??!!! If so, does anyone have a source for vintage decals?

The alternator from Bill Howard Enterprise, you are able to select the proper width of the pulley for your stock belt.

If I remember correctly, mine would whine slightly at first, also depends on the charge state of the battery.
