    Anyone heading to Binghamton,NY to watch the Great Race activities on Wed. 26th of next week?
  5. On mine the pully is one piece, no separate hub.
  6. PA, the problem with that is on the ones I have done, it is a tight fit, it was easier to fabricate a tool to center the cover.
  7. It should be mentioned to purchase or fabricate a tool to center the timing cover on the crank for proper sealing.

    Anyone from the Binghamton/Elmira NY area heading to the P15 picnic in Sept.?
  10. Be sure to keep the rubbing block lubed with the correct grease. I have been running the same set of points for about 9k miles now with minor adjustments. An old timer gave me a tube of rubbing block grease.

    Ivan B, as far as I know, the car has been a similar color. This is a Ford abyss grey color. Thanks guys for the compliments.

    Somewhere it stated that the oil fill tube breather needs to be replaced with a sealed cap for a properly operating PCV system.
  14. I used AB seal, glued it with weather trim cement as Sniper said, it will compress over time.

  16. The pressure indicated on the tire is for maximum allowed pressure for inflating the tire, not operating pressure, on modern cars the pressure is listed on the door frame, check your owners manual.
  17. I also shut the pump off to drain the carb to prevent hard hot starts.
  18. I have no issues with the Carter P5249 and no mechanical pump.(no regulator either).
  19. Just ordered Douglas, made in the USA tires for the Cranbrook from Walmart,$76 each, will mount them myself. 16 yo tires is really pushing it!!!!
  20. For the speedo pinion seal, I found a Honda #91204-HB3-004, is a perfect fit.

  22. The throw out bearing from Andy Bernbaum was noisy, replaced it with a used one that came with my extra engine, quiet!!!!!
  23. A 6v pos ground alternator is also readily available.
  24. AS Loren stated, the AB throw out bearing is noisy, the do work ok though. I have a 9 1/4 rebuilt PP if you are interested I can send pictures. Located at 18837.
  25. I have a filter assembly that takes a Wix 51201 (Purolator P40), I also have another filter assembly that requires a Wix 51080(Fram C134PL). Both filters are significantly different.
