  1. You would be bored......they are all Silver. I did do this to one of my 23" 230's just to mess with lookers.

  6. Thanks. The Sapele pattern was used on a lot of cars. We have a video up that shows a lot of patterns and what they were used on. In this video It shows the Sapele starting at the 5:00 mark. Youtube video here. Jdee

  10. Hey Mods I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, so I'm hoping here is okay. Ran across this on YouTube; if someone has already posted this and its old news I apologize. For those who have not viewed this, it is a MUST see. I really like the outdoor testing grounds starting at about 19:00 min. The winter scenes are pretty awesome, including that incredible icy grade the cars drive up and down. I wonder if a modern car could make it!

  12. Driving the D24 today felt like a boat, gliding over every bump and the big hood in front felt like the prow of a ship. Very cool!

  13. As I've said many times before, the dogs love to go with on rides. Our female started off lying on the floor, but then she moved up onto the seat. They wanted to see what was going on when I was filling up with gas and cleaning the windshield.

  15. Vaseline petroleum jelly can also be used. Rubbed it into my baseball glove in 1960. Made it very soft and waterproof. I spent some time rubbing it in and wiping surface dry when done. I still have that glove, and it's just as good as it was 57 years ago.

  16. Hi, I use drywall quick set 45 powder and cereal, like wheat checks, oatmeal etc. Apparently upon consumption it hardens in the arteries and they go for water and leave the area of concern. I use trays or cut off milk jugs with small ingress holes and set in vehicle or under shelves in work areas etc. inexpensive and seems effective, hope this helps.

  17. Andydodge, always wondered how this engine performed for you? How did it stack up against your "318", or I think you have a 318 in the other car.

  18. Veemoney, thanks that looks real nice. Did you just dob the stain on with that open pored sponge? Mortimer452, thanks, my dash isn't too bad yet but my garnish moldings were pretty worn so I started with them for preservation purposes if nothing else.

  19. SilverDome I think that looks great, nice job. Now you've got me itching to try this on my dash, the old rusty look just isn't doing it for me.

  21. Seems like the smart move to make to me. You won't notice any power difference when driving.
