Young Ed Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 That is cool and his legal disclaimer at the bottom is quite funny Quote
Allen I. Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I passed on an old wrecker when I was 19 years old. I wish I bought it back then. Everytime I see one I get really jealous. Too many vehicles now. Someday.... Quote
PatS.... Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 If I had my own wrecker, it would pay for itself in a year for sure. Right now, at -35, I could be out doing boosts for $40 each all day long!!! Quote
48Dodger Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 That is cool and his legal disclaimer at the bottom is quite funny Funny is right. Wish I had a chance at it, how cool that would be. 48D:cool: Quote
kevinanderson Posted January 31, 2008 Author Report Posted January 31, 2008 The old wrecker has about 30k miles. It has the 218 with a 2speed rear. It was the local mopar dealer's service vehicle. radio still works too. the blue truck is going to donate it's floor to the wrecker. too many salty shoes melting down the gas pedal. in the other photos, it's pulling a lull articulating fork lift that blew a rod(slant six). the photo with the front in the air was made in 2nd low with the gas pedal mashed. all you could hear were whining gears and that damn fan howling. to give you an idea of how heavy that fork lift is, notice the picture with my dad standing on the running board. the back of the wrecker is squatting. greg g Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 That Ct. wrecker was on a bout a month ago. This must be a relist. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 If that's an "F" model, wouldn't it have the larger block 236 CID engine? Quote
Bob_Koch Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Hmmmm, I wonder how long it would take to drive it all the way to Calif, at 40 mph? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 According to my calculator, East Windsor, CT to Santa Rosa, CA = Aprox. 3040 miles. If you could average 40 MPH you'd be on the road for 76 hours. If you could drive for 10 hours per day, on average, it would take you a little over a week to get home. Got a couple weeks of extra vacation time? It would be an interesting voyage. Quote
