Vintrader Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 That's a good looking flyer Dodger I sure wish I could join you all. I will be in Arizona until the first of April so the call goes out again for an East Coast gathering of some kind this spring or early summer. Ideas? The Antique Machinery Show in Rhinebeck NY is the end of May or first of June. Dutch Quote

Don Coatney Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 So are you going to splain lawn mower racin? Quote
48Dodger Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 Makin' a 1/8 mile (or as closer to it ) oval dirt track for anyone who wants to try racin' a lawn mower. Friends who are in the USLMRA are coming by to show off the fast ones (www.letsmow.com ). Nothing fancy, just another way to laugh and enjoy the day. 48D Quote
48Dodger Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 Don, Did you mean explain it better on the flyer? Quote
Don Coatney Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Don, Did you mean explain it better on the flyer? No. I was just curious as to what it was. You might want to post this on the car side too. This mower belongs to Frank McMullen. Not sure what it would do in the 1/8:D Quote
48Dodger Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 Looks like it would definatley run up front, but where do you sit????lol:D I was planning on putting a thread on the car side after I got a little feed back. I'll make a changes to the mower racing "thingy" and then put it up. Thx Don. 48D Quote
Young Ed Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Don that is a cool mower. When I was maybe 12 we moved my Grandpa from Duluth down to the cities here. He had the twin to that mower. I remember starting it with a rope with a knot at one end and a dowel with a hole in it to pull on. Sadly the engine was so worn out it didn't have enough power left to mow. It would run on the driveway but the grass would stall out the engine. So in the trash it went. Quote
48Dodger Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 I think this is the final version.....yes/no? 48D Quote
Reg Evans Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 YES ! Lisa and I will be there. Quote
