The 2 door coupes are pretty cool Hot Rods stock or full race gasser You are pretty specific on a 1942, while the body style was the same for several years. A quick search on FB showed a 42 coupe for $4500, maybe too much. Is a Texas car and looks to be minimal if any rust .... No motor/trans All the trim, chrome bumpers, SS grill, tail lights etc look nice .... needs full upholstery .... would be a easy car to build. Also a 48 that looks decent but will be a complete project for $1500 .... Just depends on what you want. Looks like you are in WA, IMHO it would be worth searching Eastern WA for a clean less rust car .... too much rain in Western WA. They are out there, you just got to search for them. andyd Posted October 25 Report Share Posted October 25 Styro.........you mentioned that you want a "Tudor"............do you mean a 2 Door Sedan?, 2 Door Business Coupe(short roof) or the 2 Door Club Coupe(longer roof).......all were available from 1942 to 1948.........I think "Tudor" was the Ford term for their 2 door Sedan which might confuse your search...........either way good luck in the hunt...........andyd Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dan Hiebert Posted October 25 Report Share Posted October 25 Yes, "Tudor" was more Ford specific marketing and would probably net you a lot of search returns that are not what you're actually looking for, since you're rather specific. Also, keep in mind that 1942 was a truncated year for all makers due to the onset of WW2, so although not rare, 1942 model year cars are not quite as plentiful, and sellers may have an exaggerated idea of their value. Of course, should you decide to stick around on this Forum once you've found your dream car, we'd like to follow along on the adventure (fair warning, you'll be pressed for photos). Welcome!
