Pictured is my turn signal cover. Original, painted poorly 35 years ago.

Since, it became brittle,  and cracked.

After years of looking for NOS with no luck, I had it scanned and 3d printed.

Amazing detail, they filled the cracks and I sanded it smooth, then painted.

I am very please with this result.

Was the original made of pot metal?  (I don't have one at all, but wonder if it would also be possible to duplicate the "workings".  I assume these do not auto cancel, so the mechanism must not be overly complicated.  I have a two way ON - Off in the middle - switch that I think would work, but would just need to extend the 'wand'.)

This is the company that did the 3D printing.

Ask for Tiffany.  She'll have the scan file.

Original is plastic.

Works are self cancel.

I have my original mechanism.

Is this the type that has a wheel that contacts the back of the steering wheel to cancel?   If not, how does it self cancel?

There is an attachment to the back of the steering wheel that contacts the turn signal unit when the wheel is turned 90 degrees

I wonder if they can print clear plastic parts. They did a great job on the switch cover and I can see why you want to use it with that woodgrain pattern. I had to get the windshield wiper pivot covers for my D14 machined (lucky I had one to use as a pattern & they are R/L interchangeable) because they are virtually impossible to find for the electric wiper equipped models. Technology ties up a loose end in parts acquisition. Thanks for the post! M
