BigDaddyO Posted August 21, 2017 Report Posted August 21, 2017 All I have is my old AC arc welder helmet. How can you tell what shade lens it is? Quote
Brent B3B Posted August 21, 2017 Author Report Posted August 21, 2017 SHOOT!! Missed it!Those jalepeno peppers from yesterday's car show had me in the restroom. Note to self, if there is a big event coming don't try eating things you don't normally eat Quote

Note to self, if there is a big event coming don't try eating things you don't normally eat No shoot, you did not miss much. 85% here and it barely got dark. Last time I flew my Lear Jet to Nova Scotia to see a total eclipse of the sun. I'm usually where I should be all the time but when I'm not I'm with an under world spy or the wife of a close friend. 1 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 21, 2017 Report Posted August 21, 2017 we were in the 90% range for the event..just figured out that it means you will miss 90%...I've blocked the sun from the area more with dust cloud when prepping my new lot couple years back.... 1 Quote

Don Coatney Posted August 21, 2017 Report Posted August 21, 2017 You probably think this song is about me. 1 Quote
pflaming Posted August 22, 2017 Report Posted August 22, 2017 I watched the eclipse on my large flat screen, but could not see much with my welding helmet on. Add to that, the battery in my hearing aid died, so since I did not have any replacements, I had to watch the total eclipse in total silence! ! ! 2 Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 I was on the NY Thruway somewhere between Albany and Syracuse when the eclipse happened, 70% there. Traffic wasn't any better or worse than usual, lights dimmed for about 30 minutes, kinda like being downwind of a big forest fire when the smoke blots the sun out. Most interesting part was all the eclipse themed songs on the radio during the trip. Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 19, 2017 Report Posted September 19, 2017 A fer days late but I finally observed the totaled eclipse. 1 Quote
