pflaming Posted April 3, 2017 Report Posted April 3, 2017 A number of you offered suggestions regarding the irradic engine problem in Don Jordon's beautiful blue sedan. Well we struggled toward home through gold country, often pulling a grade in 1st gear when suddenly thecengine would fully revive only to start stalling out. At Chouchilla, Don finally pulled into a filling station to do a thorough check when he and his friend noticed gas seeping out the top of the carbs. They slightly tightened the bolts and the problem was solved. 3 Quote

Jim Shepard Posted April 4, 2017 Report Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) As always, the BBQ was THE event of the year. One of the few things I look forward to every year, the thing all other things get planned around. Tim and Steph are truly wonderful people and I'm glad to call them friends. Here's another photo... classiccarjack Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 Thanks again Tim! You mentioned coming down to San Diego to look over my massive amount of parts. I cannot PM you, so my number is (619)454-1396. Countrytravler is interested in a couple of things. Maybe the both of you can make arrangements in order to come on down to see me. I plan on coming out next year, and I hope to have one of the ol' trucks running to bring up. I would love to drive that far in one of my "vintage" trucks. It would be a real joy! -Jack 1 Quote

Keep your eye on this guy, he could be trouble. We aussies can get a bit excited when we go o/s and begin sampling the local "cuisine". 2 Quote
Desotodav Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 C'mon GK... I haven't been arrested in CA (yet)!... there was that one time last week when we mixed with the film crew & hung out with that celebrity during a shoot (but let's not go into that here!) Hank & I havent had a chance to sit down to upload BBQ photos due to other urgent matters, but hope to do so before I leave on Tuesday night. We have managed to collect quite a few MOPAR parts for me to take home. Many thanks to RodFru for the great MOPAR 802 radio which he picked up for me at the Spring Fling this morning. I just hope that the Customs staff at the airport show an understanding for my MOPAR illness. It would have been nice to spend a little more time at the BBQ but circumstances did not permit it on this occasion. I hope to be back again in a few years time. 2 Quote
