austinsailor Posted November 15, 2016 Author Report Share Posted November 15, 2016 After closer inspection it appears the block leaks under the cylinder bank on the left side. Either a freeze problem or corroded through, but it really doesn't matter. It occurred to me I have a 331 Dodge 6 in good shape sitting here, 2" shorter than the straight 8. Hmmm.... I was thinking the Packard 3 speed with an adapter plate between the Packard bell and the big Dodge. I also have a 315 Dodge Red Ram hemi in the works, 2 4bbl with tube headers.
