First let me say that I am not sure if this is the right section to place this.  If it is not I apologize.

Do not buy brake line kits listed on E-Bay from Jackson's Old Time Auto Parts (E-Bay link chrysleroldtimeparts).  I purchased a set for my '48 Windsor since the listing claimed that the were "custom made for your application."  What I received was a number of lines cut to standard lengths that you have to patch together and add additional bends to make them fit.

The ones sent wouldn't eve work as per the instructions.  When I contacted the vendor they said that they would send additional length to add.  What I got was a different diameter line from the first shipment.  They agreed to a return of all lines for a refund with me eating the cost of return shipping.

They never acknowledged that they received the return until I called looking for my money.  Now they claim all lines were not in the box and refused to refund my money!

Thank goodness for PayPal buyer protection!

I bought some off of ebay also.  Not from that guy but gmoldtimeparts .  Some of the ones sent worked others were short.  They sent longer lines to fit free and told me to keep the others for spares.  They made me happy.

Probably the same seller with different user names.....per manufacturer...."chrysler"oldtimeparts & "gm"oldtimeparts. Too similar to be different sellers. Sounds like you both had the same scenario also.

$25.00 for 25' of 3/16" brake line.

$5.00 for tube nuts.. or use your old ones-they look better IMO

$75.00 for a decent Imperial Eastman flaring tool set off Ebay--- if you don't have a good set.

Some strong fingers and round objects to bend and form the tiny 3/16" line around plus using your old brake line patterns...... it's not all that hard to do.

Plus you can say you did them all by your self and have lotsa pride and satisfaction of doing the job right!!

I am looking at some rustproof lines (pvf coated) from ebay seller named fordoldtimers in Duluth Minnesota. Sounds like same people.

However I found a website called  inline tube. they have numerous parts in all kind of lines & sizes. Also nice kits listed under street rod plumbing.

Thanks for the heads up !!     JD

The PVC lines are not rust proof. The can still rust from the inside out. They however are more resistant and they are easy to bend and install. They are available at Napa and probably any auto parts store.

Yep that is them!  Looks like they hide under different names of sellers on Ebay.  Interesting how they call themselves chrysleroldtimers, fordoldtimers, gmolddtimers to attract brand specific owners,  This seems to no longer be part of their E-bay item description. It was one of my points to them when I was trying to get them to ship the right lines.

Buy for the future brake job!!!

We ask for your application  to double check before we ship!
