Hello All,

Just purchased a 1938 Plymouth 2D Sedan in running condition, but needs alot of love.  I've been a MOPAR guy for about 30 years and this is my first pre-war project.  Look forward to learning  and sharing.

steve, my wife and I visited Charleston last fall. what a nice place to visit. nice car you have there too. what do you pan to do to it? I have a 1954 chrysler that is all original. I will leave it that way for the time being, but if I had the funds I would do the restoration, but leave it mostly like factory.   capt den

Welcome to the best MOPAR site on the web.  I'm a truck guy so I didn't even see the '38, but that truck next to it with the 440 badge on the fender looks like a 59-60? Tell us more about both vehicles and PICTURES please!

Thanks for the warm welcome,  I am no relation to Dennis, transplant in Charleston from Indiana after 20 years in the Air Force.  It's nice to know there are a couple of members close.  The weather is  kinda crappy today so will post more pics when I can get it out and clean the mold and all off of it.  It did drive from the car trailer to the garage but doesn't stop very well.  Plan is to put it back as original as possible with maybe a couple upgrades to make it more reliable and safer.    William the truck is a 71 and yes it has a 440.  Here are a couple pics.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Finally got a nice day to wash the 20 years of barn off of it.  Thought I would post a couple of pics.  Now to get the brakes working.

Don,  I little town called Scottsburg, 29 mile north of Louisville KY,

Your car looks great! Did you ever visit this hot rod shop in Scottsburg? I don't recall the name of it.

Don,  I grew up about a mile from that shop.  He has produced some pretty cool rides over the years.  I'm going back in July will have to stop in.

Robert,  Looks like we will be doing the same thing for the next few years.  Nice 37

Steve, welcome to the site.......your '38 looks great. I've had my '38 Plymouth Coupe for about 4-1/2 years, so if you have any questions, let me know. Good luck on yours. Derek
