knuckleharley Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Looks good! I've always liked these pastel colors. They look good, don't show dirt, and the cars don't get so hot in the summer. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Looks great Joe. Jim Yergin Quote
GlennCraven Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 I'm also a fan of this color. Well done! Quote
1940plymouth Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Looking good, how long before you'll be able to take her for a drive? Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 26, 2013 Author Report Posted September 26, 2013 I don't have the driveshaft in yet or the seats. I also have to fill the brake system with fluid. Just now I was trying to install the cowl vent and the wiper arms popped off. Trying to get them back on, I stretched the spring with the two retainers that keeps them on their posts so now I have to find a new spring. Gives you an idea of the old two steps forward, one step back routine. Quote
55 Fargo Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 Lookin good Joe, just some nice firestone bias WW tires to make her complete.... Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 When can I expect to see your car in my driveway? 1 Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 27, 2013 Author Report Posted September 27, 2013 Don, that would be a great shakedown cruise. I'd guess I'll have it on the road in late winter, early spring. Maybe we can get a few of the other guys together, too. Quote
RobertKB Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 That car has come a loooooooong way! Congratulations! Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 29, 2013 Author Report Posted September 29, 2013 Going on 12 years. But I'm always quick to point out it's been mostly weekends. Quote
Greenbomb Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 It's looking good, and there is a certain satisfaction in knowing I'm not the only one who suffers from the "2 forward and 1 back" syndrome. Quote
P15-D24 Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Post them in and individual phone gallery on the Photos page. That way I can feature them on the home page! Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Going on 12 years. But I'm always quick to point out it's been mostly weekends. Nice job Joe, I know that you mean about weekends, vacation time, and holidays are all opportunities to move the project closer to complete. I just removed the body belt to put my 48 back into the paint shop for a do-over. I hope, no I know.., that this is the last time. it should be completely done in the spring unless I do something else. For myself I am starting year 10. Again, nice work Chet... Quote
Robert Horne Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 I like the light green. I went with dark green interior, and then a friend gave me a tan seat, and another friend gave me tan carpet. It is all fun, no matter what colors..... Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 30, 2013 Author Report Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks for the comments. Over the weekend, I'd hoped to get a lot done but I spent the entire time on the wiper mechanism and the cowl vent. Sometimes its the little things that put up the biggest fight. Next part of the project is figuring out a way to install the spears that go along the rockers. I got a plan, thanks to Tim Adams. I'll try to document the process with photos. Unless I screw up. Then there won't be any photos. Quote
blueskies Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Looks great Joe, happy to see the car coming together... Pete Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted September 30, 2013 Author Report Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks, Pete. Good to see you're still haunting the old P-15 forum. Quote
