pflaming Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Tim, didn't you know, Ed's a vegan? GEEESH! Quote
Young Ed Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 where's the beef? No beef. Pepperoni and green olive. Tim, didn't you know, Ed's a vegan? GEEESH! Paul there was cheese on there! We made it in the style of a few deep dish places around here that put the sauce on top. We based it on this recipe however we didnt make our own crust or put a top crust on it. We used premade dough from trader joes. http://abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Sausage-Pepper-Onion-Calzone-Michael-Symon Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 I'll say it again...where's the beef.....while I will not say that the pizza was not a good tasting treat...it just lacked a few toppings to suit my pizza addiction..at least the olives were green and not them dead goat eyes often found and especially glad there were no ditch minnows either.. 1 Quote
Captain Neon Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 Nothing wrong with Ed's pizza topping choice, but I prefer Brooklyn style crust to Chicago deep dish. Quote
48Dodger Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 The guys just left and are headed to Tioga Pass. I am stuffed....after 4.5 weeks of diet discipline.....I officially had a day off. lol What a great time with DC and Billie, They're a couple road warriors for sure...... As It turned out, my crew had other plans for me...forgetting my oldest turns 26 today....so I'm staying home. But having said that....I'm on call for an emergency tow. "The Pass" is no joke...Most likely the biggest challenge for the L6. 48D Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) Looked Tioga Pass up on the internet and it is good they approaching from the west it says as the east side is rather steep....I only hope that the engine will be utilized as a braking device going off the east side of the peak...3000 foot drop in elevation to the highway connector at the bottom..(if I read this right)...please no songs similar to 30,000 lbs of Bananas (Harry Chapin) Edited September 27, 2013 by Plymouthy Adams Quote
pflaming Posted September 27, 2013 Report Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) The Tioga Pass road does drop fast but it is now a nice wide road. I drove it in1962 from the west with a Chevy II Stationwagon and an 4 x 8 trailer behind it. At that time there were areas that were one way and some around corners. It was customary to honk and listen before entering a blind curve. They will see some fantastic scenery but will have no trouble driving out. This pass is closed usually from early November until late April. Edited September 27, 2013 by pflaming Quote
