Saturday's Forecast for Waukesha, Wisconsin for Merle's Pilothouse - A - Go - Go.

Sunny, no chance of rain and a high of 60 degrees, a perfect fall day!  That cool air will make those flat heads purr.

I am bringing a big dish of my German potato salad and perhaps a few Lienies.....  Y'all in Cali, if you start driving now, you still could make it.

UW-Platteville, kinda over by dubuque. Just about took the pickup out here instead of the bike in sunday's storms!

That's only an hour from me. Put some time in there myself many years ago.

Hope you have a good turn out, the south east version was a flop. 3 motorcycles showed up, no Pilot Houses, no cars, no Sweptlines, not even the local C10 guys who live 30 minutes or less away. Yesterday was alright, we ran up to Dixie Gun Works, I priced my cannons and Gatling guns (decor only, the main house is 1840s built and survived the War of Northern Aggression intact), got the experts to check over my 12g cap lock doule barrel muzzleloader (make a new stock, put back in service)... other than that, they just want to eat at Botulism Bob's or Ptomaine Ptommy's and tinker with a misbehaving bike.

Almot glad my town job is interfering, although I was semi-retired (not by choice) when the get together was planned...

heh....War of Northern Aggression.....that always makes me laugh...

Well I think I'm as ready as I'm going to be. Grass is cut, garage is all cleaned out and set up. Truck has it's "new" generator installed and runs again, truck got a bath and looks presentable, house got a final clean up and is also presentable. Now it's time to relax. Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Really looking forward to tomorrow!!!

Well, I believe a good time was had by all. Brad (Bradley S.) and Tim (beyert99), with his wife Sue, rolled in around 11 and the party started. Then Todd B showed up on his Harley (I'll let him tell the story) followed by Bill (Willis Pingel). About the time I fired up the grills Ralph Malicki pulled up with a couple of buddies. They had just gone over near Madison to pick up a parts truck. We all checked out his find then settled in to fill our belly's. A few of us played a little "bean bag toss" (for those who don't like Corn Hole ;) ) but we didn't keep any score. It was kind of cool this afternoon so we got a fire going and sat around shooting the breeze until everyone left. Sortly after that Jeremiah (Ram Man 02) and Sarah showed up. We had a nice chat for a while before they headed over to their motel.

What a fun day. We'll definitely be doing it again next year. Maybe here, maybe up by Todd. But it will happen...

Merle thanks for the great day and your hospitality, Sue and I enjoyed every minute. My first road trip in the Ol Dodge and it was a blast heading north with Big Red in the mirror... oh ya I could see Brad's smiling face all the way up and back home in my mirror, so I know he enjoyed it. We really enjoyed meeting everyone today and made some new friends, can't wait to do it again wherever it maybe. Thank you again

Found my gas leak. coming from around the sending unit nut, not the filler tube.

I also want to thank Merle & Teri for the great day.  I was very upset at first that I could not get my truck there but everything worked out perfect.  Awesome Bean bag toss game, I am glad we were not keeping score because we would of had to turn the lights on and probally spend the night.  Thanks again and I hope this comes a tradition.

Thank you Merle for a great day!  Really appreciate your hospitality. Those brats that Ralph brought were outstanding. The drive up and back was also a lot of fun.  I had to flog Big Red to keep up with Tim.  Oh, and thanks for helping me finally determine my truck's axle ratio which is 6.285.

It was great to finally meet face to face some of the fine folks on the Forum.  I am already looking forward to next year.

well if I knew the Vikes were going to decide to play like a grade school team I may have reconsidered my decision to stay home.....

Ram Man got there too late for Merle to award the "prize" I sent along with him.....

Looks like it was a good time!

I was asked to bring my truck to Nueske's Meats 80th Celebration yesterday.  I made it 10 of the 20 miles and my truck stopped again.  If I leave it sit for 5 minutes she is raring to go.  Then it starts starving for fuel againpost-204-0-70066000-1381070978_thumb.jpg.  I need to tank my tank out and clean the little chuncks of crap out.  I also had a chance too see my old camper again.  Great turnout considering the weather forecast was rain and more rain.

Somebody should mold a new tank for theses dodges.  I would be interested.
