TodFitch Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 First place, Plymouth Owners Club 2007 National Spring Meet for his P15! That is an incredible car and David deserves the recognition the club gave! As for my car, I did need to dig out a screw driver. To loan to some one else. Didn't even have to add a quart of oil (round trip about 500 miles). I could have left the extra fuel pump at home. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Way to go David. Tod great to hear that you had a good trip. PHOTOS Please!! Dennis:D Quote
Don Coatney Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 David, my most hardy congrats! Tod, thanks for the photos and reports! Sounds like everyone had a great time Quote
RobertKB Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Congratulations, David! Your car deserves the honour as we all know how nice it is and the work you put into it. I remember on the old forum the "play by play" posts you gave and we could all watch your progress and give encouragement and help as required. Your car is a beauty and it makes me want to do a burgundy car. Love the colour! Tod, more pictures please. We are waiting eagerly for them! Quote
Johnny S Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Congrats are absolutely in order. Your car provides many with the inspiration to continue. Way to go!! Quote
PatS.... Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Congrats, David. You did a great job on the car and you deserve it for sure. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 All right, David!!! That's great. Glad to hear it. You put in a lot of work and it certainly shows. Congratulations. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 I'm just glad we finally have proof that his car does exist and is really that nice. I was beginning to think he was so good at photoshop that he was just making it look nice in the pictures. Good job, David. Quote
Robin (UK) Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Congratulations David, An inspiration to everyone else. R. Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 HI All, I just got home from that great meet, Tod and David not only presented great cars at the meet, they both worked their tails off producing one of the best shows I have ever attended. I would like to congradulate them both along with Nick DeSimone, and Margie Amos These are some great people. Tony C Quote
TodFitch Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 Tod, more pictures please. We are waiting eagerly for them! Links to the meet photos I took (and for the tour down) are at: http://www.ply33.com/Misc/club2007/ Most of the photos I took were of cars in the 1928-39 group that I go roped into helping judge. I don't think I have a photo of David's car as it was in one of those "new, post war" classes. Quote
47heaven Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 What, David...another trophy? Oooooh, wait till I get up there next year. Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Congrats to David and Tod !! Wish I could have made it. Quote

greg g Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Huzzzahhh David. How many other P15's were there?? Quote
bob_amos Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Yes, we all had a very good time. Tod did not blow his own horn but I'll do it for him. He also won an award with his car. And the trophies!!! David made some of the greatest trophies that I have ever seen at any meet. We all worked hard but it was worth it as everyone had a great time. Sorry the rest of you had to miss it... Maybe another time... Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 I'm off to a meeting right now, but thought I'd post one pic from the meet that I like. Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 ... YES! We had a great time!! Excellent effort on the part of our members, great help from the National team and a little luck came together and made for a smooth and enjoyable day for all. I will be putting together a CD of photos from the meet for attendees. While I have many nice pics taken by the young lady we hired, I noticed that others have some great shots as well. Tod's pic of the hood ornament on that early Plymouth is a good example. If you have any pics you would like to share for the project, please email a high resolution copy to me ASAP and I'll add it to the project. Thanks! Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 You may recall that earlier I posted a pic of my design concept for the POC national award. I created the design in my 3D modeling program. Well, I thought I would show you how the final product turned out. I know not everyone is into trophies, but this was designed to be as much of a keepsake as an award. I really would have liked to give one to everyone who participated in the meet. Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Bob Semichy turned me onto a company calley Ralleye Productions that makes exceptional dash plaques. Not your typical cartoon looking plaques. Quote
David Maxwell Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 As you can see, it wasn't all 100 pt fanatics at this show. As promised, we were open to mild mods. You can see some of the pics including a couple of the mods on a new Photobucket page I've started. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v455/bojeta/POC%20National%20in%20Santa%20Maria/ Quote
