108 degrees in the shade @ 5:00 p.m. So I took the thermometer and hung it in the sun, with the bottom 'bulb' in the shade: 118 degrees. They say four more days of THIS!. It's almost as bad as Omaha! They have nasty summer weather, survived there.

You guys in the central valley should be used to the heat by now, haha!

I'm lucky to live in a "sweet spot" wirh a mix of coastal and inland weather - got up to about 72 today here, which allowed for a pleasant day working on the truck in the driveway.

Today, 15 miles north of here it was in the 60s, and 15 miles south it was in the low 90s.

Got soaked in a thunderstorm on Mt. Pinos today. Got a bit chilled from that. Then, driving up I-5 in the Central Valley on the way home noticed that the outside thermometer on the car claimed it was 109°F at around 6PM. 65°F outside here at home now. Sure have a wide variety of weather in this state.

:confused:Do you live outside Stockton?? Westside with some breeze from the delta?

I'm in Modesto Ca. Low forcast tonight is 72 at 5am! Been 103-4F daytime, cooling to 99 by thurs.

At this time of year i'd be good to be working in S.F. Close to the 55 degree ocean temp. and often assocaited fog in summer!!!
