Reg Evans Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 Are they going to run the new ridge over to the old one and install valley rafters and flashing er what ? Quote
ggdad1951 Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 that's what I love about pole sheds, they go up in the blink of an eye Quote
TheMoose Posted July 14, 2012 Author Report Posted July 14, 2012 BIKINI GIRL UPDATE! The builders told me they got a bit overheated Thursday, while putting the metal on the roof they spotted bikini girl sunbathing on her trampoline, took an extra hour to do the roof even though the temp was 100! West Siloam swap meet didn't have anything but we stopped at a couple of salvage yards on the way back & while they didn't have any old MoPar stuff I did get a couple of leads on salvage yards that do! Not a bad trip. Quote
TheMoose Posted July 14, 2012 Author Report Posted July 14, 2012 Garage isn't finished yet but that didn't stop us from using it, painting the grill pieces for my 53. Quote

TheMoose Posted July 16, 2012 Author Report Posted July 16, 2012 Joining the ridges Siding complete & window installed Quote
TheMoose Posted July 16, 2012 Author Report Posted July 16, 2012 They installed the double doors between the buildings. But they just left so it looks like they won't finish today, But as soon as the garage door is on I'm starting to move stuff in. Quote

But they just left so it looks like they won't finish today,But as soon as the garage door is on I'm starting to move stuff in. Decided that moving in was a bad idea, Even with the mister fan running it's too hot, I'd have to clean up their mess before I could move in & they are just going to make another mess tomorrow so everything I move in would get dusty right away. Just 1 more day hopefully & it'll be finished except for electric. Quote
TheMoose Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 And now the roofs are joined! Hopefully they will finish on the roof before bikini girl comes out & distracts them any more! Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 That roof looks real good now! Great job. Quote
TheMoose Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 And now I have a new garage 1 week & 1 day after the work started, 1 day lost to concrete guy scheduling problem & several hours lost to watching bikini girl! Interior empty. Now to start moving stuff in. Quote
HanksB3B Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 No, Epoxy that Floor before it's too late! Great Job! (and fast too) Hank Quote
ggdad1951 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 bikini girl is a myth! You can't epoxy the floor until the water cures out. Generally a month wait is a good time frame. You tape a piece of plastic down and when it no longer has moisture on the backside the concrete is dry and epoxy-able. Otherwise the epoxy runs a chance of letting loose. Quote

And Epoxy is expensive for the good stuff, this is a garage for now, when I outgrow it again I may epoxy the floor when it becomes part of the shop & I build a stand alone garage! Quote
TheMoose Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Posted July 17, 2012 bikini girl is a myth! With this being a family forum and all & privacy & such you have to be careful about posting pics of neighbors! But.... since this forum seems to have a bunch of dirty old men (me included) Since she was wearing the bikini while she was mowing the front yard, in plain view , saw me taking pics of the shop & even waved to me. I found the most PG pic that you can't see her face in. I give you the Myth, the Legend BIKINI GIRL! Thing is she is not the hottest gal in the neighborhood, at least 3 hotter than her but she is the one that likes showing off. Quote
HanksB3B Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 Don asked me to ask you, to try to get her to flash you next time she's out for a mow with your flash camera. Hank Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 I have always been amazed at the number of women who parade around like that on a mower no less without any regard to safety Quote
48Dodger Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 I have always been amazed at the number of women who parade around like that on a mower no less without any regard to safety Yah Tim,....lords knows I might trip and fall staring at that wicked mower... 48D Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 What kind of mower is that? I did not see any brand name. I suspect 48dodger wants to enter that mower in his mower races. Guess it makes no difference of the brand. My guess is it will get first place and the fans will get the trophy:rolleyes: That picture almost shows (per Archie Bunker) full nudel sidetity. Geeez, did I spell that right:confused: Quote
TheMoose Posted July 21, 2012 Author Report Posted July 21, 2012 Been way hot here, up to 108 with a 116 heat index this last week! But progress has been made in transferring non tools from the shop to garage! New garage is filling up fast but Shop is emptying out just as fast! My Autocross car even fit thru the double doors! ggdad1951 Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 NICE! Super jealous! Noticed the center of your tailgate doesn't have the center support mine does? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 I'm jealous too. Mark, the 1/2 ton trucks have a narrower tailgate and only a simple "L" bracket under the center for support. The 3/4 and 1 ton gates have a much more robust center hinge support. Merle Quote
NobbyofTexas Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 That is way to neat and organized, you must be a sick person, ha!!!!!! Where is bikini girl's poster???? Gary Miami Texas Quote
