Dirt work started on my new garage today!

Actually it's an extension of my current shop/garage.

After this construction I'll have a separate shop and garage!

Everything that is not a tool is coming out of the shop & in to the garage!

It's gonna be nice to have a dedicated work area that I can use without having to move a bunch of stuff first! :D

Show me the tools!

Hank ;)

P.S. Nice Garage!

Keeping an eye out for more shop equipment, blast cabinet, Big air compressor & new Mig welder are first on the list.

The garage will have a cathedral ceiling so when I get a lift I can get my 53 high enough off the ground I can walk under it.

show me the shop one year later...lol

It'll be full again but, I live in the country, I have plenty of more space to expand!

Phase 1 complete dirt work & gravel

Phase 2 starts Monday when they start framing

This is actually Garage v2.5

My original shop was hit by a Micro burst, both the shop & the house took damage but the shop was totaled, it had a pretty good lean & a twist to it!.

So we knocked it down

And built a new shop.

Now it's time to add on to the old/new shop

Too bad your not Amish or it would be done in a day! Looks great, I'm envious but not jealous, there's a difference.

I don't know if it's going to be much of an improvement. The way those poles lean, the one you knocked down would have been better!:D:D:D

Sorry man, couldn't help myself. Having a good day, finished up on the last project except for some buffing. Yes, I have pictures and no, I'm not posting them. They'll show up in due time.

One of the great things about living in the country is extra room!

I have 3 acres so I still have room to expand.

I say to heck with the shop expansion. Suggest you expand the bikini area.....

On second thought make the bikini area smaller as this will lead to greater expansion;)

New roof will blend into old roof at 90 degrees.

Rafters showed up today, just guessed so I hope the ceiling is high enough for a lift.

Moose: Can't you buy rafters with "cathedral" bracing? That would lift the ceiling about 3 feet or more. The PO of my garage put plywood trianges in the tops of the rafters and that gives me a 10' ceiling in a garage with standard studs. If you want a pic, I'll take one.
