Plymouthy Adams Posted March 18, 2012 Author Report Posted March 18, 2012 if I hear banjo music..I am backing out and heading home... Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 This is what the banjo player looks like today. Because Billy Redden did not know how to play the banjo, another young banjo player reportedly knelt behind him and reached around his chest to play the banjo. Redden wore a specially designed shirt that made the man's arms appear to be his own. Billy appeared in the 2003 film "Big Fish" after director Tim Burton found him working as cook and dishwasher at a cafe in Georgia. Quote
John Reddie Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 67 Fury...one of them sitting on a lot just 4 miles from me now... Tim, is this Fury a parts car and if so, do you know what color the interior is. I am looking for a light green driver's side front door panel (4 door hardtop) Thanks. John R Quote

John Reddie Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 Thank you Tim for checking that out for me. My green Fury is hard to locate interior stuff for some reason. I've been looking for a door panel for a long time. John R Quote
Young Ed Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 John Im starting a hunt for a blue door panel for a 66 fury wagon. I think one from a 4dr would fit too. Quote
John Reddie Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Hi Ed, If you should come across any '67 Furys in your salvage yard searches let me know. You have some really cool yards out where you are. Up here in MA, just about all the vintage stuff is long gone. Thank you. John R Quote
PatS.... Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 If you find a pushbutton tranny hooked to a 413 I'll let you buy it for me:eek: I have a 64 Chrysler, base Canadian model, with a pushbutton trans. I bought it as an engine donor for the 49 Chrysler but I won't be using it. The fellow I bought it from bought it as an engine/trans donor for his 64 Coupe, but I have not had it running and the body is not drivable. Anyway, if you can use it, it's yours but it's still in the car and I am now unable to pull it. I know someone who can for a very low rate though. Located in Calgary, Alberta Canada ...I will ship. Plymouthy Adams Posted April 17, 2012 Author Report Posted April 17, 2012 the trip so far has been a bust...the father in his old age was going to clear things before he passed..seems to what I hear one of the out of town son's found out, raised a fit, screamed Barrett Jackson prices are in order...and since this the father has passed (wonder if it was a heart attack) and now all is in limbo..you can see the rest of the story now..continue to sit while arguing over prices till nothing is left that can be salvaged..if this greed should truly be the case, I wish the rust god-speed. faucet47custom Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 That's sad. Every day on my trip to our office I pass a 53 Desoto. I posted on here 2 years ago when I had seen it and stopped to ask about it. $10k was the asking price then and the car hasnt moved an inch since parked by the road. The gentleman had inherited the car from his father and had seen one too many Barrett-Jackson auctions. I love our hobby and the great cars this forum supports but if I ever feel my D24 is worth more than $25-50k, Mr Adams can bring his suburban up and take me to the nut house. Quote
